Control Panel Features
PSTN (Public Switch Telephone Network)
The Powermax Design Express is unique among alarm systems of its kind as it features a sophisticated in-built PSTN alert feature. Let's face it, you can't stay at home all day. So while you are away or simply at work during the day, this system will keep you notified of any disturbances occurring at your residence by simply calling you (through a landline connection) or another private telephone number with a unique siren signal signifying either a FIRE, a BURGLAR or another emergency. Acknowledgment of the message is required and simple to do, but in case you miss the call, the system will continue to reach you until you are properly alerted. The PSTN feature is useful for anyone wanting to control their alarm system remotely also. Simply use your private phone to dial into your Express Kit and you can both arm or disarm your system using a series of executable commands right from your keypad.
Looking After People Left at Home
If you have elderly or disabled loved ones who are frequently left at home, the Powermax Design Express is designed specifically to cater to precisely this situation. The Design Express Kit can be programmed to perform contrary to the system's usual behavior and monitor when motion is NOT detected. Indeed, it is only natural that even the most immobile of elderly and disabled persons will move at least occasionally, whether to turn over in their sleep, or to simply grab something from the kitchen. You can, however, set a “lack of motion” time limit that will trigger an alarm if motion hasn't been detected for a long period of time. The countdown will restart if motion is detected at any moment within the time frame.
Optional GSM Module
Additionally, the Powermax Design Express Kit can be expanded to include a GSM module (not included). A GSM module is useful both because as a cellular-based device, it can provide backup protection in case your PSTN connection is down, so you'll never miss a single crucial alert in case of a burglary. More impressively, however, a GSM module will allow you to both send and receive SMS (text) messages to and from your private cellular phone. The Express Kit can be programmed to alert a maximum of 4 pre-selected telephone numbers to TEXT in case of an emergency, while arming, disarming and other remote commands to your system is as simple as sending a 1 to 3 word SMS message instantly.
PLEASE NOTE: While the PLINK2 Module available in the accessories tab is also compatible with this unit, you may not use a GSM module with the PLINK2 accessory simultaneously.
(4) Visonic Miniature Wireless Contact - MCT-320
The MCT-320 is meant primarily for protecting doors and windows. The MCT-320 uses a built-in magnet that works in conjunction with a magnetic contact to detect precisely when a door or window are being opened/closed. The MCT-320 is ideal for both your home or business, while its very small size is convenient both because it is virtually invisible and easy to install.
The MCT-320 also features a unique anti-collision algorithm that prevents what is known as "signal jamming" by the simultaneous transmission of multiple devices. The MCT-320 is able to transmit periodic "supervision signals" to confirm that your system is connected at all times.
(1) Visonic Wireless Pet Immune Motion PIR Detector 85lbs - K9-85MCW
The Next K9-85 MCW is a PowerCode wireless digital PIR detector designed to enable homeowners to secure their homes while allowing their pets to move freely anywhere in the house. Employing Visonic's patented "Target Specific Imaging" optical system (TSI) and unique pet identification software algorithm, the Next K9-85 has an unprecedented capacity to reliably distinguish between human bodies and pets weighing up to 38 kg (85lb).

The MCT-237 is a 6-button miniature wireless 2-way keyfob with an icon-based LCD display designed for arming and disarming the security system, as well as for emergency signaling, query for status and home automation applications. It provides instant visual and auditory feedback regarding the system status and whether a command has been successfully executed, so that users can always be certain that the system has carried out their command.

(1) Visonic Wireless Outdoor Siren with Blue Strobe - MCS-730-AC
The MCS-730-AC is a fully wireless outdoor siren, designed for installation in areas in which wiring action is difficult or impossible. It is compatible with control panels such as PowerMax Pro, PowerMaxComplete, PowerMaxExpress or Visonic newer panels.
The MCS-730-AC is powered by an External 9VAC Adaptor and non-rechargeable backup battery, which enables very long operation time without replacing the battery. The MCS-730 AC complies with PowerMax+ also.
