Home Security Store strives to ensure that you are satisfied with every purchase made at our store. If, however, you encounter a problem with your purchase, Home Security Store provides a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee (minus 20% restocking fee) for all of our products and services (excluding special order items). Simply contact us during our regular business hours at (800) 954-0422 and we will issue a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number immediately.

Shipping discrepancies for missing items or items damaged in transit must be reported within 15 days of delivery by calling customer service at (888) 501-7870 during their regular business hours of Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM PST.

Holiday Extended 30 Day Money Back Guarantee


The holiday season is approaching, and we know many of your purchases will serve as gifts for your friends and loved ones. This holiday season we will have an extended Return Policy for all purchases made between November 1, 2013 and December 29, 2013. Returns for all purchases made between these dates will be accepted until January 31, 2014 for a refund.

All returns must be received within 30 days of receipt of item(s). Please read conditions below. If conditions are not met, the Home Security Store has the right to refuse the return, or to charge a 20% restocking fee.

Restocking Fee



To help keep initial costs of everyday products low, Home Security Store charges a restocking fee. Any return for a refund will be subjected to a 20% Restocking Fee. Please Note: Any shipping charges accrued from the Home Security Store are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Return Shipping Instructions


  • Return the merchandise to us within 30 days of your original receipt of the order. (Shipping discrepancies must be reported within 15 days of delivery. )
  • You MUST call Technical Support at (800) 954-0422 Monday through Friday 6:00 AM PST to 4:00 PM PST for RMA number.
  • The products must be returned in new, re-sellable condition:
    • Include all original packaging materials.
    • All manuals and warranty registration cards must be unmarked.
    • Any programming MUST be reset back to factory default.
  • Carefully repackage and double-box the merchandise with the RMA number clearly displayed on the outside of the shipping box.
  • Please do not place any stickers or shipping labels on the manufacturer's original package, as it will not be accepted for refund.

  • We recommend your return shipment to be insured and shipped with a tracking number. Home Security store, Inc. is not responsible for lost or damaged packages.
  • Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.
  • Returns that do not meet all of the above stated conditions will be returned to the customer at their expense and cost. Products that is not eligible for return is as follows:
    • Any product that has been mounted.
    • Any product, original packaging, retail box and or manuals that have been written or marked on
    • Any product that is returned without all original packaging and accessories, including the retail box, manuals, cables, and all other items originally included with the product.
    • Any product that exhibits physical damage.

Refund Process


We will issue a credit to your charge account (less the accrued shipping charges) upon receipt of your returned merchandise if it is in good order and in accordance with the full policy listed above, as well as returned within 30 days of original delivery. You may elect to receive store credit towards another purchase at Home Security Store, or simply receive a refund.

Refunds for returned item(s) will be issued in the same payment form as tended at the time of your purchase. If payment was made by credit card, Pay-Pal, check, or Google checkout, please allow 5-10 business days for credit to be processed after receipt of return. When refund has been processed, please allow 7-10 business days for a credit to appear on your credit card statement. If payment was made by check, the refund check will be issued after 20 days from the date of purchase.

Limited Return Policy


Survival food, Batteries, transformers, Mace®, wire & opened or used computer software cannot be returned. Furthermore, clearance items are sold as is and cannot be returned or exchanged for another product unless found immediately defective. If the product is defective upon receipt the customer may elect to receive store credit from Home Security Store, Inc. or a full refund.

Gift Card No-Returns Policy


Gift Cards may be used toward the purchase of any product in Home Security Store's inventory. However, at this time a Gift Card cannot be used in conjunction with a Home Security Store coupon. Gift Cards never expire. You cannot return a Gift Card. Once you have used your Gift Card, the remaining balance may be viewed by logging into your account. Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash.
