No Hassle, Smart Design

With the WS4916 DSC Wireless Smoke Detector with Heat, DSC is revolutionizing smoke alarms in the same way it has revolutionized home security. This seemingly simple device is built with the utmost precision, ensuring the ultimate fire alarm safety from a sensor detector. It's completely wireless, simple to install, and perfect for both commercial and residential environments. With its powerful simplicity and high-quality construction, this standout smoke detector is a must-have safety essential.

Fire Alarm Functions

The WS4916 is a photoelectric smoke detector built for accuracy and immediacy. It features a built-in Low Batter Indicator, which sounds an audible alert signal whenever you need to replace the batteries. You won't find this simple function in any low-end sensor, but it may save your property or even your life one day.

Heat Detection

What really sets this sensor apart is the heat detection feature. Unlike most smoke detectors, this one works by measuring both smoke and room temperature. When the detector reads 135deg.F, the alarm sounds to alert you of potential fire. The 85 dB horn is loud enough to awaken an entire home or office, so you won't miss a thing. The device even comes equipped with a local test button and automatic drift compensation, further adding to the already impressive array of features.

Home Security Integration

This unit is even compatible with many DSC wireless receivers and alarm control panels. So not only does it make an excellent standalone smoke detector, but it can also be integrated into your DSC security system for even greater functionality. So protect yourself, your loved ones or your employees, and enjoy expanded peace of mind with a smoke and heat detector that delivers like no other. Good unit. Easy to mount, easy to enroll. Has local horn. Uses standard 3V lithium batteries. Is supervised. Just note that the heat detector is NOT a "rate of rise" detector hence, it's typically not suitable for use in unfinished attics.

Good smoke/heat detector. Removed an older battery operated smoke detector in our bedroom and this installed in its place just fine. I would suggest the improvement of at least allowing the use of AC power and the battery as backup. Most home codes these days require AC powered smoke alarms and installing a battery operated alongside one just seems like overkill.

We installed 12 WS4916 devices throughout our church. Setup was fairly easy. They have a good tamper control. Only shortfall is that we installed 6 in the attics; 2 sent false alarms due to overheating in the attic. Don't recommend installing where the ambient temperature exceeds 120 degrees F.
