Dakota Alert WPT-3000 Extra Wireless Probe Alert for 3000 Series

Add an Extra Wireless Probe Alert 3000 Transmitter for the Wireless 3000 Series Alerts System. The transmitter operates on one 9-volt battery and has 50' of direct burial wire connecting the probe to the exterior case. The probe is buried parallel to the driveway, and will detect vehicles passing by within approximately 10-12 feet. The direct burial cable can be run to a tree or post nearby, where the transmitter box is located. When a vehicle drives by, the transmitter will send a signal to the WR-3000 receiver up to 600 feet away*. This is ideal in locations where there may be deer or other large animals that would cause false signals with a motion detecting system. Also, because the probe is buried underground, it will be the least noticeable of our wireless systems. The transmitter is weatherproof and meant for exterior locations.

Robert on 11/29/2011, said: Works well but has limited range. I reviewed the on-line manual at this web site and page 3 indicated the unit had a 3000 ft line of site range. So I bought it to replace an old existing system. Hooked it up and the the receiver would not work in my basement about 350 ft. Reviewed the manual that came with it and discovered on page 3 the range is about 600 feet. I had to rewire my alarm system and move the receiver to a ground floor with a window to make it work. Anonymous User on 8/7/2010, said: I bought one of these 1 year and 1 month ago. it has stopped working and i tried 2 new batteries and the suggested remendies for fixing and calling the technical number for the product and i guess you should expect it to only last thru the warranty period and then you buy a new one.
