The WPA-3000 is an extremely reliable driveway alarm that is used to detect vehicles only. The transmitter operates on one 9-volt battery and has 50' of direct burial wire connecting the probe to the exterior case. The probe is buried parallel to the driveway, and will detect vehicles passing by within approximately 10-12 feet. The direct burial cable can be run to a tree or post nearby, where the transmitter box is located. When a vehicle drives by, the transmitter will send a signal to the WR-3000 receiver up to 600 feet away. The WPA-3000 is ideal in locations where there may be deer or other large animals that would cause false signals with a motion detecting system. Also, because the probe is buried underground, it will be the least noticeable of our wireless systems. The transmitter is weatherproof and meant for exterior locations. Up to four zones can be monitored with additional transmitters. The transmitters can be programmed so they will each sound a diff erent tone at the receiver.

The WPA-300 includes the WR-3000 receiver and WPT-3000 transmitter.

Receiver
The WR-3000 receiver can be used with any of the Dakota Alert 3000 series transmitters (WMT-3000, WPT-3000, WHT-3000). The WR-3000 plugs in to a standard wall outlet and can be placed on a table or mounted on the wall. When the receiver gets a signal from the transmitter one of 4 different tones (Classical , Westminster Chime, Ding Dong, Whistle) will sound for a few seconds. There is also a volume control so you can set the sound to the desired level. The receiver is also equipped with 4 form “C” relays (one for each zone) and one 12 VDC output terminal that will activate for several seconds when a signal is received. The receiver can be user programmed so the 12VDC terminal and one relay will activate for 10 minutes if this is desired. The tones will still sound for several seconds.

Transmitter
The WPT-3000 transmitter is used with the Dakota Alert WR-3000 receiver. The WPT-3000 transmitter uses a magnetic probe and 50 feet of direct burial cable to detect vehicles at the monitored location. When the transmitter detects a vehicle it will send a signal to the receiver which will sound one of 4 different tones (Classical , Westminster Chime, Ding Dong, Whistle) for a few seconds. The transmitter can be used to monitor driveways, drive-up windows, etc.

I had problems with the first unit they sent me and we tried to diagnose the issue to no avail. These people immediately sent me a new unit and extended my money back offer. Needless to say I did not need the money back offer. the unit is in now and has worked fine for a month. I must say the product is good and I could not be without it now. I can now greet people with my 12 guage at nite. I also want to commend this organization for the fine way they handled my problem originally with the product - they are stand up folks.

The unit worked for only 3 days after installation. The probe no longer senses vehicles at all. I am hoping that I can get a timely replacement for the probe and try again.

We have had this installed for about 1 year and could not be happier. It works great, goes off for every vehicle and the abundant deer never trip it. Easy to put in, easy to configure and works just as described. I would highly recommend this product.

It works great. It lets me know when someone is coming down the drive way in plenty of enough time...

I have had the wireless WPA-3000 for 2+ years now and love it. The transmitter is about 300' from the house and works every time. The only time I have gotten a false alarm was during a heavy lighting storm and once when I didn't close the transmitter box all the way and ants got in. Apparently they were walking on the circuit board and set it off a few times. Deer, people, bikes and dogs don't set the alarm off. I have two receivers because the house is big and I want to be able to hear it no matter where I am. Great quality.

System was simple to install, 100% reliable. Sure, a close lightening strike will give a false signal, but that's life on a farm. Best money we've spent.

This driveway alert works perfect. I have the probe buried about 250 feet from the house. It has never missed a vehicle and doesn't give false alerts. I have had it for 3 months and it is still on its first 9-volt battery. I purchased a second receiver so I have one at the other end of the house too. I highly recommend this product.

Bought a wpa3000, an extra receiver and two of the $20 clear strobes. Retired and live 10 miles from town, at the end of the road where the gate and Private Property - Do Not Enter signs are 3/10 by road and 2/10 by line of sight. Two houses here, Son lives in the other one a little closer to the gate. Clear signal at all distances we tried and need. First night it was installed it caught a car that claimed to be lost (a typical excuse for ignoring the signs). I had the Qbeam on the car before it had come 100 yards. Good early warning (wanted or unwanted guest). Only noticed improvement needed.... A cutout circuit to provide a window in time for my son to go to work at 0400am and not set it off. Other than that, I really like the setup.
