Add an Extra Wireless Transmitter for the Wireless 3000 Series Alerts System. This transmitter uses a infrared beam to detect people or vehicles to a distance of up to 80 feet, then sends a radio signal back to the receiver, which can be placed in your home up to 600 feet away.

I have moved it closer to the house and it is line of site within 100 feet of the house and it still doesn't work. Don't waste your money on this type.
