Dakota Alert WMT-3000 Extra Wireless Transmitter for 3000 Series

Add an Extra Wireless Transmitter for the Wireless 3000 Series Alerts System. This transmitter uses a infrared beam to detect people or vehicles to a distance of up to 80 feet, then sends a radio signal back to the receiver, which can be placed in your home up to 600 feet away.

Terrance Krueger on 2/2/2013, said: I have been using the same unit outdoors, as a gate alarm, 186 feet from the alarm bell. It has served me well for the past 4 years. I made a rain cover for it my carving up a 5 gallon plastic pail shaped like the covers on traffic lights [half round at an angle] I had to send it back to Dakota Alarms, for repairs - and they did not charge me a cent! I know every time a car enters my driveway and even an occasional Deer or Dog.... small inconvenience to pay for the alerts. Because they can be set for different alarm songs, and a prepper, I am getting ready to buy three more for other areas surrounding my house, especially near the front and back doors and our greenshouse! One of the units would even pick up vehicles on a road 100’ away on sunny days... adjusted mounting to a better angle and all false alarms have ended. Ordering more for other locations! I have moved it closer to the house and it is line of site within 100 feet of the house and it still doesn't work. Don't waste your money on this type.
