Wireless Dual PIR Motion Detector

The WLS914 is a specialized PIR motion detector using 2 dual-element PIRs, and emphasizing immunity from false alarms caused by pets. The WLS914 is equipped with a specially designed lens*, which enables the detector to discriminate between humans and small to mid-sized pets. Multi-Level Signal Processing**, temperature compensation and large multi-beam lens design mean the human target will not slip by unnoticed even on a hot summer day.

Very good sensor. Would have given it 5 stars if a better explanation of how it works is given in the instructions. This motion sensor once setup does not light it's LED which is what fools you into thinking something is wrong,,, but there is nothing wrong. The detector saves battery by not lighting the LED when in normal mode (it does light it in test mode) but it sure works well and caught me crawling on the floor.

DSC's WS4904P "Pet Immune" motion sensor mistook a small cat on my couch for a burglar nearly every day. I moved that sensor into a hall and installed this one in the same location. I threw cat treats all over my couch and all I got was a very happy cat. I stepped into the living room and it caught me instantly. After weeks of my cat testing the sensor I have had no false alarms from this sensor. It sees me and other humans perfectly. If there is a chance of a pet of any size getting anywhere near your sensor, save yourself some trouble and choose this one over the WS4904P.
