I am house sitting at my daughters house and had my dog with me so I set my telespy before I left home, when my wife went to our house on her way home from work the telespy called me. I could hear my wife dialing my cell phone from her cell phone. It was very reasurring. The 2 jack ports on the side of the phone are for a dry contact, like for a window alarm.Most people will never use this feature but it's nice to know the company plans ahead like that. The microphone stays on long enough to leave sound on voicemail if one misses the call. We've used ours continuously for over a year without any problems. Anonymous User on 4/15/2011, said: A handy gadget, motion detecter works good, and calls as advertised, but condencer microphone not any good, does not pick up hardly any sound, even next to unit. also, instructions do not tell what the two jacks (in/out) are for or the type plug required.
