The SC100 - Skylink Wireless Home Security System is a totally wireless alarm system that is very easy to install, program, and use. It requires no hard wiring whatsoever. Just read in our review section and see what customers are saying about the SC100. The recommendations alone will sell this system. With a 100 ft range from each sensor to the control panel, the SC100 is capable of covering approximately 3000 square feet. This is more than enough coverage for a home, apartment, condo, or small business. The SC100 is one of Skylink’s best selling systems. The kit comes with everything you need to install the system, from the batteries to the hardware. The kit includes the control panel which incorporates the keypad and the siren (which is extremely loud at 110dB), 1 motion sensor, 2 door and window transmitters, and a keychain transmitter so you can arm and disarm your system remotely. The kit comes pre-programmed so you can just hook up the system and start using it.

The system can incorporate up to 30 accessories including a smoke detector, flood sensor, external siren, and auto dialer. The auto dialer (sold separately) is designed to call up to 9 pre-programmed phone numbers up to 9 times each, using a personalized emergency message up to 40 seconds long.

The SC100 also utilizes what’s called rolling code technology. Skylink is the first company to incorporate this technology in a home or business security system. This guarantees that the control panel will only recognize radio waves from its remote sensors, which prevents high tech thieves from duplicating signals and tampering with your system.

What is Rolling Code Technology?

Every time you press your remote transmitter to turn the security system on or off, a code is generated which is recognized by the receiver that in turn performs the function. With most security systems there is only one assigned code. Whenever the remote is pressed, it generates the same code making it vulnerable to code grabbers who use electronic scanners to steal the code. With rolling code technology each time the remote is used, it generates a different code which can only be recognized by a rolling code receiver. So even if an electronic scanner picks up the code, the next code will not be the same, making the system safe and secure. This kind of technology also reduces false alarms caused by interference with other radio frequency items.

Here is a recap and some additional SC100 Features –

  • DIY Wireless Security System - Easy to install and ready to use, no programming is required.
  • Rolling Code Technology - Leading edge technology that provides maximum security and reduces false alarm.
  • This system is good for most small to medium size house (i.e. approx. up to 3000 ft2). For larger house, more accessories should be added in order to cover all the premises.
  • Works in conjunction with up to 30 Skylink security accessories (including Dial Alert).
  • When the siren goes off, it will immediately send a signal to Dial Alert (sold separately) to call the preset phone numbers.
  • Can be customized to suit individual specific needs.
  • Arm/Disarm using PIN or Keychain Transmitter.
  • Includes a piercing 110dB siren.
  • Lighted keypad with Chime, Instant, Delay mode.
  • Low battery indication.
  • AC power with 9V Alkaline battery backup (included).
  • No monitoring fees.

This is the second SC100 system I have installed. The new owners are disabled and could never move fast enough to stop an invasion. This system works perfectly for them and has never given them any problem. I could SELL these.

I have been reading the reviews and I have also taken a look at the total amount of things that come within the system. It looks really awesome and being secure is a major thing with me. I cannot wait until I order my own and it arrives. I will come back and make a note in regards to the quality of the product itself and such.

For the money this is a good deal. The directions are well laid out and not too hard to read. Bought this for my sis in law's simple three bedroom rambler. The siren is just deafining. Set it off just to hear it and I swear I had some short term hearing loss!. I would advise getting the add on alarm and NOT putting the control panel by the front door though, or programming the backdoor sensors to go off immediately. In 30 seconds someone could walk to the control panel and smash it. My only gripe would be the motion sensor range isn't too great, seems like 20'.

I bought the Skylink SC-100 with four extra door alarms, and two additional motion sensors, silent alarm (light flasher), and a vibration sensor for my boat in the driveway. It took me about four hours to install everything. When testing, several items didn't work, so I read the very complete manual and went to advanced programming section about clearing zones, then adding items one by one to the zones you want. Very easy to do and everything works very well.

For about 100 bucks, this system is an outstanding bargain. It is easy to set up and operate, and is more than adequate for a small house or an apartment. (Helpful installation hint: DO NOT press the red button on the keychain transmitter until you have installed the system and have reviewed the owner's manual.) The only extra item that I had to purchase to complete the installation was some Wiremold to secure the power cable - it looks better than having a wire hanging down the wall. The siren is extremely loud, but an external, wireless siren would be an excellent addition to this product line.

Simple to install. The siren is pretty loud, but I think I will purchase an additional siren for added security. Great product for the buck!

My son Nate was so exsited when this came in the mail. He ran in side screaming it's here! He really wanted to plug it in. So I let him. He pluged it in, after it fully turned on he hit the red button that is the panic button. The alarm blasted this big sound. My son entered the code and turned it off. My son loves to hit the panic button.

Living in a Condo in San Antonio makes this a perfect system. My neighbors are comfortable that it will NOT go to the alarm state without valid reason. They just call the police without even approaching my living area. We have not had a single thing go wrong, nor have we had a single alarm that was invalid. This is one super system at a price that is unbeatable. We use it even when we are home, and have never had an alarm in error. Remember, you should never bring a knife to a gun fight.

Great system- easy to install and use. Total instal time for control panel, 5 doors sensors and 2 motion sensors- 2 hours. One feature which I would have liked to see is adjustable entry and exit delay times.

This system is great! It took about half an hour to install in my townhouse. Programming extra sensors is easy if you follow the directions in the user manual. The siren is very loud!

This system is really easy to install and amazingly effective. It has a simple set of instructions for quick set-up, a more detailed instruction book as a guide, and comes with all batteries, hardware and everything. I am so impressed with this system (especially the arm/disarm keychain remote control with 'panic' alarm) that I bought a second one for my shop! What a deal! You will not be disappointed! Thanks, Autumn

I installed this system last night at a second home after suffering a break-in there several weeks ago. I found it a good system that works as advertised and easy to install. The siren is very loud - almost hurts your ears. I do wish the system had a log feature built in, since I do not have a phone installed in this home and as such if it is tripped when I'm not there I have no way to know it went off. However, overall I think this is a very good deal for the money.
