Since I always have my cellphone on and with me, this was a slam dunk! No monitoring fees! No hassle if it falses once in awhile! I am the one in charge, if it is a bad guy in my home I can hear him. If I want I can talk to him. Best of all I can have the police on the way and he won't even suspect. I can arm/disarm from any phone. If it can't reach my phone I have several others in it as backups. Remote builings at my home are covered as well.

Exellent system. I have a 3 story house and a detached garage 200 feet from the house and the system has performed flawlessly.

For having never installed or setup a security system I found this system to be quite easy. After reading the reviews on this product I was afraid I was going to break the sensors when opening them, but found them to be easy to open. One caveat I work on sensitive electronics for a living so maybe I am used to opening these sorts of things. Secondly the reviews had me afraid that I wouldn't be able to setup the system using the manual. I was able to have the entire system installed and up and running in 2-3hrs. A few tips for installation. 1) Open the sensors carefully install them with the covers off (because your going to need access to the circuit cards to assign them to a zone), next install the alarm panel, power it up, then skip over the first 3 chapters of the manual and head straight to chapter 4. Assign each sensor to a zone, set the date and time, assign the keyfob, create a access code(s). Setup the phone section and then save all the changes you made and your done! It's as easy as that.

Initially seemed a bit complicated but after install started it was not. Very good wireless through concrete block walls and concrete floors. Works very well. Great Tech support from The home Security Store when I got stuck.

The instructions for installation and use are not clearly written. Installation was not very difficult, but trying to interpret the instructions was. They could have been simplified. The system seems to work good and I like the expansion capabilities. I would recommend this unit.

This is a good option, but all the items have to be purchased by internet coz in Mexico we do not have dealers and the existing dealers do not have the experience to give support to the customers like me.

The system is easy to install. It has more features than most people will ever need. It is comparable to other systems costing far more. Tech support is slower than I would like, but is usually not needed. The manual takes some getting used to, but then is easy to use once its layout is understood.

The system is very well designed and productized for a small company. It has most recent capabilities and excellent features. Electronics is up to date. Instructions are missing or out of place for many steps. So the help from technical support is a must. It takes 2 days of hard work and some technology or installation experience to get everything running. After getting through the initial setup difficulty, using the system is easy and the performance is excellent. Several initial setup steps are unnecessary. For example, it is not necessary to make user open the unit to connect power, telephone and any other lines and tamper. Intruder can just as easily disconnect these lines from the wall side. User should be able to connect the desired lines without opening the unit, put batteries and start programming the unit. Manual should explain what is a partition (detector group) and what is a zone (detector). Easy program setup should discuss essential steps in more detail (connections, installer setup, programming detectors, programming keyfobs) and less important steps in less detail (general settings, wireless sounders). Wireless signals reached all over the inside and the outside of the home. It may not be necessary to paste the sensor for initial testing. The sensor may be mounted with the assumption that the central unit will receive the signal. There was no interference even from the wireless N broadband router signals. Sensors do not produce false alarms. Detection is satisfactory. The polymer material of entire system is outdated and easily breakable. Arming hierarchy may be vacation (more than a day), schedule (every day), manual (less than a day). But the description of the vacation option may be missing from the manual. Routine use of the system is convenient because of these three options. Keyfob has a good range. Follow Me calls and Remote operations give a complete security system. If there was ranking available for installation then it would be 2 or 3

For me, this is the first time that I have ever installed something like this. I am a general contractor so I figured that I could manage doing this. It was an experience to say the least. The directions that they give you are not very clear at all. I'm sure that they might be for someone that installs these things for a living. If not it just sounds like a bunch of mumbo jumbo. Thank god that I could figure it out. Once the system is finally up and running, you will enjoy it. It does work and run very smoothly. It is well worth the money. Just plan on at least 2 or 3 days of headaches figuring it out.

After reading the installation manual for a week in my spare time, I started the process of installation. You have to figure out the lingo and then run wires inside the wall.[if you dont want to see them]. You have to be careful with the alarm and sensors when takeing them apart, [a small screwdriver is the trick], but I had no truoble.I mounted the sensors before programing them as the techs. said, and I had no trouble. I like the system alot, but it takes some studying of both books, and It has taken a month or so to figure most of it out. It's a good system, and if you don't mind a challenge, youll like it too!

I would say the WISDOM is an over all good system. Phisically it is not very sturdy. The main unit case is flimsy with plastic clips in bottom and top to hold the case together. If you are not carefull you could snap the clips off. Screws would be a much better way to hold the unit together. Back up batteries seem to be adequate, six rechargeable AA, although I would have perfered a bigger battery. The system clock only functions in 24 hour mode. Be carefull witht the ribbon cable connecting the front and back panels. The connectors in one end of mine snapped off with the lightest pulling pressure. I had to glue it back on since the other option tech support gave me was to ship the whole unit back to them. I offered to buy another ribbon cable but since it is an internal part, they do not sell it. The buttons/keys operate well, have a positive feel to them and have confirmation tone. The has a medium footprint and looks good mounted on a wall; it could pass for a wall phone. As this was my first alarm ever installed, it took me about two hours to review the manual and get confortable to begin programming. Once I understood the main manual, it was easy to follow the quick start guide. Programming the zones is intuitive and repetitive. Once you have the first zone programmed, you just program the others very quickly. The door sensors cases are somewhat flimsy, bulky, and one must be carefull handling and installing. The motion detetectors seem to work fine over a broad area, but the cases suffer from the same genaral flimsiness. The fire/smoke sensor is easy to install and feels quite adequate for the job. I was disappointed to learn that at this time there are no ROKONET glass break detectors for this unit, only shock sensors that are recomemded to be installed in contact with the area you wish to protect. The alarm bell is loud inside the house, but it is barely audible outside. An outside bell would be a good option to have. Also the system seems a bit vulnerable in avisible place. A better installation would

I'm an electrical engineer and I have to say that the manual is overcomplicated and difficult to get through. The unit does so much and the manual jumps around. l got the thing working after about 4 hours of arduous painfull reading and studying. The hardware is top notch and very quality. The options are numerous and the installation manual is difficult to follow. Maybe someone who is a home security professional would have an easier time with this as a NEWBIE you are trying to undstand securiyt concepts along with how they are applied to your new hardware. I'm still confused about calling in to check on status since the book says you need a two digit code that is never provided (that I could find). I did call in and guessed at 00 for a code and it seemed to work..maybe not code is needed at first??? Also, all of my zones have default names given them like main door, second floor and such. I'm not clear on where to change that at and if I can put in my own voice or can use their provided automated voice. The forum on here for rokonet is deafenenly quiet...DSC seems to be active and it would be nice to have that kind of support. Am I sorry I bought this...no but it sure could have been an easier experience with a better written manual.

This is a feature packed alarm system that will do everything but the dishes, which is why I chose this system. I'm very savy with things, and their isn't much I cant do, but the setup instructions gave me a run for my money. I actually left the alarm to sit there unprogramed for a month before I was ready to try to try to program it again. I found out if you follow the Easy Program Setup guide to the letter and not the instructions in the main book it went smooth. I would buy this system again, mostly because of all the options it can do.

First let me say overall this is a very nice system for the price. But the instructions are way way to technical. They really need to rewrite them for the common man. I pride myself in being able to figure out just about anything but the instructions seem to be written for a electrical engineer. Please rewrite the instructions.

This system is easily configured thanks to a well written installation manual and abundance of options. I had a little difficulty configuring the wireless door contacts but it was my error and not the equipment. I called tech support and although they won't win any awards for being overly sympathetic, they answered my questions and got me squared up. I definitely recommend this security system.

Just finished installing the system. I consider myself pretty technology savvy, but one would really need an electrical background to be able to wire this. Luckly my fiancee was just that. He wired it and I programmed it. Programming went pretty smoothly. I didn't even have to call tech support :) So far I am just having it call our cell phones, I may get monitoring. I'll see how it goes. The keyfobs work really well. I can arm and disarm my system from in my car 500 feet away! I wish the wireless keypads could tell you the status. But other then that it seems to work great. I armed it several times and not once did a door or motion sensor not pick me up!
