RJ31X - JACK AND CORD

The RJ31X is for use with Alarm System Communicators, Line Fault devices, or other equipment as a means of connecting to the incoming telephone line. Includes RJ31X 8 pin modular surface mount jack and 6 ft. 8 wire modular cord with plug on one end and spade terminals on the other.

Joseph on 11/24/2008, said: The Visonic documentation makes it appear that this component will integrate right into the Powermax on a terminal strip. Not the case... Cut the U off of the terminals but DO NOT cut the crimp fitting. If you cut and strip the wire, the wire gauge is too small for the Visonic compression terminals. I used it on my PowerMax+ and needed a DSL filter as well since I have DSL service on the phone line used by the PM+. Only problem I see is the PJ31X doesn't come with instructions except for a relief printed inside the cover which is hard to read, and doesn't seem to apply to all users.
