I'm using for extra power for my outdoor siren. Works great but I'm giving it 4 stars not 5 stars because it contains no instruction,but the home security tech did e-mail a great diagram showing how to wire. Also this kit has double back foam tape to install the circuit cards in the DSC box, which is not the proper way to install circuit cards. Went to Radio Shack and purchased PC Board Standoffs p/n 276-194 and circuit card are installed properly. Last you need to purchase a DSC camlock for the cabinet door to stay closed.

Everything needed (except the wires)to supply power for a hard- wired siren and a couple of strobes for my Alexor wireless system, using the PGM output on the Alexor main panel. Battery included is of higher capacity than shown. As long as your power requirements are less than the 1 amp capacity this is the way to go. Home security store knowledge based article shows the wiring diagram which guides the home installer from making the wrong choice from the options in the enclosed instructions.
