I got this as one of the pieces in the SC100 system. It has raised bumps on each button so you can feel (in the dark, for instance) what you are pressing. The battery goes forever and the range is all or more of the claimed distance of 100 feet. If it had not come with the system I would have made a seperate purchase of this item. You have full control of the alarm system including a 'panic' button. I was amazed that it was included at no extra cost with the SC100. Great investment.
