William on 6/30/2008, said: If you're new to installing alarms this is a must have. It made programming the system super easy. I had attempted to program through the keypad at first and had some trouble doing it. I had purchased this just in case so I decided to try it. I wish I would have used the PC link from the beginning. I was able to fix my mistakes and program the whole system in about a half an hour. Download and install the free software, read the help files that come with the software,and hook it up. Once it's working, programming is fun and a little easier. You still have to understand all the various options available with your DSC alarm system. But the manuals and Forum really help. I bought a 50ft telephone cable and ran it from the panel to my computer room so I can download, upload, and review my system any time.
