    A bit bulky, but it works great. I use this sensor on the first floor windows. I use it in combination with an external NC reed switch. I use it on "single hung sash" style windows (very common windows). I have the unit and reed switch sitting on the top of the lower pane, with the magnet mounted on the thin trim of the bottom of the top pane. When the window is closed, everything meets up at the middle. There is just enough room to do this. It's a nice, neat setup! Also, the unit is VERY easy to open if you read the instructions.

    great choice for both interior and exterior doors. Have also used for casement windows. Good range and easy to open and setup by reading the instructions. Also have 11 Micro sensors on other windows.

    If it was a little bit less bulky I'd give this a 5th star. I've had 11 of these in use at my home for over 10 years and never had any problem with them. Have changed the batteries just once, about a year ago, so I got 9 years from them. Tip: if you put multiple magnets on a window you can protect yourself with the window closed all of the way (normal position) or open a bit but still too small to squeeze through.

    Sensor works great!! Sensor worked at a gap distance of over 1inch, which really helped with a few difficult installations. Some complained that the sensor was difficult to open, but if you refer to the direction you will learn that the sensor opens easily by squeezing the cover.

    This has got to be one of the hardest devices to prop open for tripping and battery replacement. Almost broken my nail or the actual unit trying to open it. Use double-sided tape instead.
