I’ve been pleased with the rest of the Simon III system I recently purchased but this part of the package is a dud. My sensor has a limited range of twenty feet and an erratic field of view. Sometimes it detects motion instantly but other times I’ve had to walk around for thirty second before it notices me. The Security Store won’t let me return or exchange this unit for a better one. Because of this I recommend buying the Simon system without a motion detector included and buy a high end GE Simon motion detector such as the model 60-511-01-95R - ITI Wireless DS 924 Infrared Motion Detector separately.
