The NX-454 Micro Door/Window Sensor is the smallest sensor of its kind and it fits easily in the palm of your hand. It was made to meet consumer demand for a less “obvious” security sensor. The sensor is only 1.75" long by .875" wide by .50" high - or 84% smaller than the standard door/window transmitter which is typically bulky and noticeable.

The NX-454 is a supervised, wireless sensor that is for residential and commercial use. It detects the opening and closing of doors, windows, drawers, or just about anything that opens or closes. The sensor and magnet are mounted using double-sided adhesive tape (included) making it perfect for applications with limited space.

Patented ITI Learn Mode technology makes the NX-454 Micro Sensor quick and easy to install. The sensor is given a unique identification code at the factory, eliminating sensor programming. And like all ITI wireless sensors, the NX-454 sends battery and status signals to the security system’s control panel. That way, users are reassured that the NX-454 is working correctly. The sensor is powered by a 3 VDC, lithium coin-cell battery (CR2032) with an estimated life of 5 years. The battery can be replaced by the installer or user. The Micro sensor also has a built-in power-saver feature and is white in color.

Here is a recap of the Features –

• Small size offers flexibility in applications with limited space
• User-replaceable battery lasts 5 years in typical installations
• Advanced circuit design saves power and extends battery life
• Low profile blends into decor

Sensor is nice an small and fits easily on windows. Back plate for screw mounting is worthless. Sensor fell out after a couple door closures. Double sided tape had to be put directly on the sensor. It may make it more difficult later to change batteries. Hope for long battery life.

I like this sensor. It is small, it comes with pre-cut double sided tape for mounting, and it was easy to add to the system. All future window switches for me will be these.

i have about 10 NX454 sensors installed on windows. Over a period of 9 months I have experienced 3 failures - poor reliability. Fortunately, they have been replaced under warranty but at this rate, I anticipate they will all experience early failure.

good, small sensor.....you've got to pop it open and move the battery to teach your controller which can be a pain sometimes but overall a darn, good buy

Installed very easy on the Concord 4, took about 2 minutes to learn the sensors and installation was very simple. Great for casement windows.

These are worth the extra few bucks. They are smaller than I expected and they allow for a little extra line up error and gaps. They are easy to install and work well with the Concord 4 Wireless system.

I bought two of these to experiment with on my Simon 3 system. Both of these units only could muster a signal strenght of 4 beeps no matter where they were located (anywhere from 5 to 50 feet from the panel). Two other types of wireless switches would consistently give the required 8 beeps in the same locations the NX454s could only do 4. Returned them for the NX-450s.

This thing rocks. You can't defeat it and it's very small. I tested the range to 75' and works consistently.

For most doors/windows in my home, I like the NX454 better than the transmitters that came with the Alegro. I felt that it was worth the extra few bucks for a one time investment to have a much less noticeable transmitter on all my windows. Super easy to install and easy to add to the system. The batteries will cost more since they are the small flat batteries (the ones that come with the Alegro use a more conventional AAA - I like those for the doors/windows that get lots of use).
