This product is a must have! It has it's own self-diagnostic circuitry built in, so that you can visually see the sensitivity of the detector via the magnet test feature. Also, it runs off of a wide range of voltages, from around 9 volts up to 30VDC. Even better: It automatically calibrates it's own sensitivity! Although the price of these units is a bit high, it is worth the amazing features and false alarm immunity. I have one of these myself. It works great, virtually no false alarms, and for applications where a sounder is just too loud, this works even better since it doesn't have a built in sounder.
