Park your car outside without waxing it for three years and see what it looks like. I've had my sign outside (Scottsdale, AZ) for five years and it looks good. Yes I wax it every year. Didn't think much of it as a yard sign, but it doesn't appear to have been designed to withstand the elements very well.
