It works great. Once you get it plugged into the AC, you will never have a problem with it.

Great addition to a great alarm, however the unit itself is flimsy. Had continous trouble with the tamper alarm going off, finally I modified it and permanently bypassed it. Still, I would highly recommend this control panel.

This device is very useful to install at entry/exit. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. Also, when you install this device, please make sure to plug your AC source in so that you can utilize the full features.

Visonic got the styling of this unit exactly right. It is neat and compact and looks high-tech without being complicated to the user. The unit integrated without issue and was just as easy to program as the Powermax Plus. Two issues with the device would cause me to think hard about ordering another unit... The first is the quality of the annunciator: It is poor compared to the Powermax Plus. The volume is low and the speech is distorted. These units are slick, and if you really want to use them at the main entrances to a protected home, consider putting one each at the front door and the utility door (for example). The Powermax can accept up to two of these according to the instructions. This drives up the system cost alot but the effect is worth it in my opinion. The second issue is the transformer: The transformer has an integral, hardwired cable with six or eight feet of wire. I prefer transformers with lug screws so that I can run wire in the wall and place the transformer in an inconspicuous place with the other system components that I do not want visible. I also tend to put these transformers on an surge supressor / UPS.

if you buy the powermax the mkp-150 is an absolute must. they are a bit steep in price, but without them you couldnt hide your main console. not to mention they dont take up alot of room which is an added bonus. this means you can put them anywhere...which my wife loves. the max you can add to the powermax plus is 2...and if you have a house...get 2 you wont be sorry.

I've been very happy with this wireless keypad. It has most of the fucntions of the base unit, so I can keep it safely tucked away with audible alerts turned off. That is great piece of mind, as smashing the wireless keypad will do nothing to stop the alarm.

I've had this unit for 9 months. It has intermittent problems where it looses connectivity to the main unit. This creates a real problem when you walk into your home and are asked to disarm. You try to input your code but the unit looses connectivity to the base unit. Then you go scrambling through your house to the base unit itself before the alarm goes off. Most times it works great. Sometimes, not so great.

This 2-way station provides all the key features of the main PowerMax+ console in a smaller package and separate from all the key functions in the main unit. It is essential to mount the main unit in a secure location to avoid it being smashed upon entry. To make it hard to find it certainly won't be by a door, which is where this 2-way console should be. PowerMax+ can handle two of these remote consoles. Highly recommended.

Can control the whole system. And very easy to mount. Looks better than the big control center.

I have to say the MKP-150 was a long time coming. I only wish Visonic had it out long before they did. This is a must on any PowerMax+ system.

The keypad is a really nice addon - It can pretty much do everything that the main keypad can except the base install items. Couple of down falls - 1) the look - it is not nearly as sleek looking as the main keypad. 2) the speed - sometimes the main keypad will register changes in the system a lot faster than this keypad. Overall - I really like it and I would say it is a must with any system.

This keypad works great! Check your firmware revision by going into Installer mode --> Serial Number. The serial number will be displayed,. Press NEXT and the version number will be displayed the Vx.x.xx is the version. It needs to be at least V3.05 for all functions to work. It appears that if you have version V2.9.XX the chime button on the keypad will not work for turning on/off zone chiming. Fortunetly Visionic provides a means for you to return your alarm panel to them for an upgrade to the latest firmware.
