MCT425 - Visonic Wireless Smoke Detector

Fully supervised wireless smoke detector MCT-425 is photoelectric smoke detector fitted with a PowerCode fully supervised UHF transmitter. It is designed to sense smoke, but not gas, heat or flame. The detector provides early warning of developing fires by sounding an alarm with its built-in alarm horn, and by transmitting a coded alarm signal to a wireless alarm control panel. The fire alarm initiated by the MCT-425 allows people present within the protected area to escape before the fire spreads or to put out the fire.

I have my system call me in any events and my wife overcooked some popcorn. I called her to tell her and she was amazed how fast I knew. If the system was armed it would have called the emergency services instantly and then called my cell phone. This whole system is really cool! (And I installed 4 of them in 15 minutes.) I added 3 to the house. All told, it took about 15 minutes to both program the units and hang them in the apporpriate locations. Excellent choice for integration into your home alarm system, weather or not it is monitored.
