MCT234 | Visonic Wireless KeyFob Transmitter

The MCT-234 is a miniature PowerCode 4-button transmitter, designed for use with alarm and remote control systems, such as Visonic Ltd's MAX-20 MC and PowerMax.

Whenever one of the 4 specific push-buttons is pressed, the MCT-234 transmits a Code-Secure digital sequence that is identifiable by compatible PowerCode receivers, together with a 4-bit function code associated with the button that was pressed. The transmitter signal is encrypted and changes in every transmission. As a result, "code grabbing" is virtually impossible.

I just love the size of these fobs, and the fact that there is one custom button (we use it to report alarm status). Arming and disarming the house is quick with almost no delay. However, there are some quality issues. I've had to replace two (out of 4) keyfobs within 3 years since the powermax system no longer recognizes them, even with new batteries.

These little remotes make an excellent addition to this system, they are powerful enough to arm and disarm from carport without any problem. If you forget and open the door they are handy to disarm before alarm goes off with the touch of one button. db

These are great keyfobs. Very functional with the x10 capabilities. The only complaint I have is that 1 of my 2 keyfobs is not transmitting strong after 3 years and I have to replace it now. I tried new batteries with no success. I may have bought weak batteries in the first place, but I am not sure. They are slightly difficult to open/close when replacing the batteries, but still a great keyfob.

Unit adds a great deal of functionality to your alarm system. Ease of use and simple setup add even more to these excellent items. Both me and wife carry one. Be advised though that using these can lead to a forgotten password on the main panel. So make it a point to arm-home using the main panel at night.....
