The new MURS Alert offers the ability to monitor activity at remote locations. The MURS Alert transmitter utilizes passive infrared sensor technology that will send an alert signal to the MURS transceivers in order to notify you that someone has entered a monitored area.

The MURS Alert transmitter is a passive infrared (PIR) detector that can be used to detect people, vehicles or large animals at selected locations. The PIR sensor will detect movement of objects up to 80 feet in front of the transmitter box. When a person, vehicle or large animal is detected, the MURS Alert will transmit a signal. When an target is detected by the MURS Alert, an alert signal will be sent to the M538-HT

I have this unit along with the hand held unit. Both work extremely well. The MURS Transmitter is just shy of 1/2 mile from the base station (line of site) and works great and the batteries lasted more than 7 months throught the winter and summer. The hand held unit communicates with the base station from 1/2 mile away with a difference of 800 feet in elevation. Bo Ranson, Ranson Hollows, Ripley WV

We have two of these units now & they work amazingly well, other products we tried do not the range or dependability. I am ordering two more units, we also have the handheld which I carry when we are not in the house to monitor the base unit. A-1 products. Bill McLellan, Mims Florida
