With a voice prompted programming feature that tells you exactly what to do set-up will be a breeze.

With the proven reliability of Honeywell’s powerful technology, the LYNXRKIT-EN is an all-in-one sleek unit that integrates the control panel, keypad, siren, dialer, two-way voice system, and speakerphone. Other than the all-in-one control panel, the kit includes two transmitters, one motion detector, a rechargeable back-up battery, and a video user's guide.

The control panel is packed with power. It can hold up to 8 user codes and can handle up to 24 wireless zones of protection. It also has a 16 button key pad with an easy to read LCD display.

Let’s take a look at the transmitters and motion detector. The transmitters have built in magnetic reed switches and have a demonstrated outdoor range of over one mile. Well, it's been just about 2 years since I purchased and installed the LYNXR-EN Wireless Home Security and I couldn't be happier. I wanted a system that I could implement and manage as well as add features as needed. This system is perfect for that especially for the cost. I would recommend this unit time and again. Great buy!

There is a problem with the documentation as they supply you with about 4 manuals. They need a 5 th manual to let you know how to use the other 4! And I dont like manuals, but thankfully it is incredibly easy to program. The voice programming is nice and easy to use for setting up your basic system. Then use the two 8.5 by 11 manuals, the thin one that shows what the default setting are (shown in [#] brackets) and the comprehensive one to show you how to change the defaults to fit your needs, i havent used the small manual yet. Installation tip: I have DSL and I hooked the phone line from the unit through a DSL filter. Works fine and this calls my cell phone when the alarm has been triggered during tests. Also calls me if the alarm has not been armed in over a day. Has instructions on how to turn on over the phone. Installation tip: Buy the hard wired siren and a wireless siren and a wireless keypad then mute everything in this control panel and hide it.

This was my first time setting up a security system. I have a complete wireless system, 4 door sensors, and 4 PIR motion sensors. installation and programming is about a days worth of work. the first read of the manual made no sense (for a newbie), but the second read it all clicked. I do recommend the system. have had it for almost six months. so far, works well. i also have the wireless voice keypad and siren. the siren needs a three prong outlet (will not work in 2 prong, something about RF signal), so having an older house, that was a nuisance, cos i couldnt put it exactly where i wanted

This is a great product but you are limited to the little siren built in or wireless remote sirens. It would be nice if you could make it wake the neighbors too. It really is very easy to install and use. My 12 year old daughter has no trouble using it.

This is an easy system to install, program and use. It also has many features. The problem with this system is it is easy for a burglar to get into this system and disable it before it does any good.

Great product, Great features. First program it with the 'Voice prompted programming' feature, after that you have a basic alarm system. Then everything gets even better if you sit down and read the manuals, then fill out the work sheets and you can customize it in many ways. I like the 'follow me' feature as well as the 'dial-in' capability. Also, easy to install sensors with many types and styles available.

Called in my order on Wednesday and it arrived on Friday. The instructions were a little hard to comprehend but the voice prompting made everything go smoothly. I have 14 zones and added the the wave 2ex siren for added noise. I didn't even have to call tech support. I am very pleased with the LYNX and the peace of mind it gives to me and my family.

This system is packed with many features and provides an extreme amount of flexibility. If you don't mind taking the time to learn how to program it then this alarm system is a sure thing. Understand up front though that it will take some time to program everything perfectly. However, once that is done this is the Cadillac of wireless systems.

I just installed this system in my home. The door sensors and motion detectors are very easy to program. The control panel guides you right through it. The directions for the wireless keypad were a little confusing. I called tech support and they walked through programming it. It was programmed within 5 minutes. I would recommend this system to anyone and the customer service and tech support are amazing. thanks!

Best security system that I have ever used. However, I do suggest the installation of additional sirens (such as the 5800 Wave or Wave2EX). I have 4 sirens in my home & no intruder could stand being in there for very long. I also have key fobs for ease of use & added a smoke/heat detector. Thank you.

I purchased this system, along with extra door/window transmitters and a wired siren over a year ago. As a novice to home security, it was more complex to set up than I initially thought it would be, although it was simply a matter of trial and error - I still finished programming/config in an hour or so. I've had no problems out the system or components. I love the dial in feature - I use it to turn the alarm on when I'm on business trips and my wife and kids are home - my wife never remembers to turn it on! I'm also very happy with Alarm Relay as a monitoring service. Despite the inexpensive prepaid cost, their service and response time has been excellent. My land line is ringing within seconds of a false positive or test, and if it's not answered, they call my cell. I think my total out-of-pocket costs for the system with additional sensors/tx, a remote, siren, and one year of monitoring still came in under $500. Very reasonable, and my family feels very safe.

I have purchased the Ademco Lynx Wireless Home Security System Kit. The additional accessories that we purchased with our system were five 5809 Wireless Heat Detectors, one 5808LST Wireless Smoke Detector, two 5890PI Wireless Infrared Motion Detectors, three 5181 Recessed Door Sensors and two 5828V Wireless Keypads. The system was easy to program and rocks! I purchased alarm monitoring. My wife tripped the system by mistake and was called by the monitoring company for the pass code and everything was a-ok. The only issues that we really have are with the 5828V Wireless Keypads as they don’t stay on all the time unless you configure them for power source. I have disabled the internal siren as I don’t want a burglar knowing the police are being called when they trip the alarm!

I have owned the Lynx system for almost 2 years. I recently had a burglary in my home and the burglars stole several thousand dollars of equipment. This system was tripped and the siren sounded. I have to say that I am not impressed by how relatively quiet the siren is. It definitely needs to be louder, as it did nothing to deter the criminals who entered my home. I am not sure if you can add additional sirens to the Lynx, but I highly recommend that you do. I recommend adding an Ademco Wave 2, if possible as it is MUCH louder. The Lynx has a 60 DB siren, the Wave2 has a 95 DB siren. Your goal should be to make your system as loud as you possibly can so it is painful for a burglar to remain in your home for any length of time.

I installed this alarm myself and it seems to work well except for the phone dial out, not so well. One nice feature about this alarm is that you can set the chim to announce when a sensor is activated ('front door', 'back door' etc), without the alarm going off. This is great to have at night as a way to know when members of the household are going in and out of doors. Also, I found some instructions on-line in the form of a short video (less than 3 minutes) that was pretty good if you are doing one of these for the first time. www.iques.us/Home/Alarm/Lynxr.php Thanks, Doc

This unit booted up first time after power installation. In all fainess to Lynxrkit in my previous post ..wires.. it is probably typical in kits that there is not a cable from power pack to unit. It appears some kits do not even include the power pack but this one does! Everything I have looked for in the manuals has been there so far and PDF files are available on line. I like the X-10 product support. And it will be a while before I utilize all of the capability in the unit which means room to grow for me. And 1-800 numbers are in the manuals for technical help. I have not needed to call the number but refreshing that the number is listed if needed! Nick
