Easy installation, I had to use 3m double-sided sticky tape to mount these because my shutters were in the way of where the screws go, do not use the cheap double-sided tape if you go this route. I have two dogs, about 30 & 40 pounds and they haven't set these off by accident. You will see the red LED light up when you get the room where the motion detector is mounted so you know the thing is working. The range seems pretty good on these, I have a pretty good sized living room & kitchen and one of these units covers both rooms.

Just works. Mine is mounted over the front door which covers three intrusion paths: entry from dining room, entry from the living room, and entry down the upstairs staircase. I have never had a false alarm and it always goes off during testing which includes swinging the front door under it, walking down the stairs from the second floor, and walking into the area from the living room or dining room. I do not have pets so I cannot comment on its pet exclusion performance.

I am about to purchase another K9-85. I have been using one for two+ years now and it does a fantastic job. The comment about the sensor going to sleep is correct. Do not present any movement to the sensor and then after a short pause, do so and it will light up. After my experience with this sensor, I am puzzled by the negative comments.

what everyone needs to understand is that the sensor goes into sleep mode if it keeps detecting movement. if you think it isn't working just go out of the area for 2 minutes. now re-enter and see if it works. i thought the same thing also until i read about it. you have to wait for at least 2 minutes though.

Got one of these gems in my package and I bought another at the same time. Unfortunately I think one is blind and the other can't see! LOL. I suggest that you buy a different type of PIR sensor over these. Deffinately not worth the money or stress.

I've had 2 of these sensors operating in my home for 4 years now. I've never had a false alarm and the sensors reliably detect movement. I just recently replaced the first set of batteries, so they lasted almost 4 years.

Horrible motion sensor. I received this in the overall package for this security system and it hasn't worked at all. I wish I could get a replacement, but I've had it over a year now.

Product worked for about 3 minutes out of the box. After continued reset, it continued to stop working repeatidly. If it had not come as part of the wireless kit, I would not have purchased this detector.

Purchased this as it's advertised to be immune to dogs that are under 85 pounds in weight. Well, my dog is 52 pounds and trips the sensor every time. It's only after purchasing it that you will read in the supplied manual that if the dog gets close to the area where the PIR is installed the max weight limit drops substantially. So $70 down the drain as I cannot protect the required area due to the dog moseying around in it. I really wish the limitations were advertised up front, as I would not then have purchased it.
