This really is a great buy and looks totally real! I was pleased with the ease of installing the camera, it is sturdy enough to look like the real deal and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Great product. It looks great. My only complaint is the battery compartment. It looks like it's going to be a pain to replace the batteries. But hey, you don't have to do it very often. So I won't allow that to keep me from giving it a strong rating. I would definitely recommend this to others.

This camera is DEFINITELY a deterrant to criminals. I installed the cam on my side porch. The LED is running off of battery power. The battery has not needed to be changed, in almost 1 year (energizer type batteries). This is impressive. I would highly recommend this product. Even my cousin who works with the cia came over and he thought this was real.. Great value for your money !!!

I was worried that the battery life would be to short because I don't want to be changing them all the time. Since it was only to take AA batteries, I swapped in a D cell instead with a little adaptation. The D cell battery lasted 16 months, so changing it once a year isn't a problem. It would be nice if they actually made the camera to take a D cell. Otherwise, the camera is really nice, looks authentic, and works well.

I purchased one and I love it so much I just bought 2 more for the outside of my residence. I own a bi-level and the basement is above ground. I will place all 3 cameras on each upper corner of the home. I will make it impossable to reach without a 15 foot ladder. Why? Because if these cameras were real one knows that real cameras are big bucks so one would not place it in an area where a person could attempt to steal it, spray it or touch it for any reason. I put one up already and it looks extremely real. I am not putting in any batteries because they cameras will be hard to reach to change them out. If one were to die and the other 2 do not, a person might think the home owner only has 2 on, not all three. Also, most cameras I see at business's like this one do not have a red blinking light. However, you can not miss these cameras once they are installed. They demand attention and respect! The only disadvantage is that no one will see these cameras at night. No biggie. I live in a subdivision and once neighbors notice I have these cameras installed either by them walking the dog or driving by, the word will travel like wild fire. people love to talk and if you one of few who purchases out door cameras, trust me, they will talk and everyone in the sub will know. Therefore, anyone in the sub will not attempt anything. If we people in the sub see a stranger or a unfamilier car in the hood, the cops get called. I also have a lot of retired folks who live here and they have nothing better to do but watch, ask and talk. I would be very surprised if I get my home broken into abytime soon! :) Also, place warning stickers on every window to the home. MUST BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The document that came with it said the batteries will only last 6 weeks. I hope this is not true. It will be a real pain to have to take it down that often to replace the batteries. I have only had it installed for 1 week so I am hoping the batteries last 6 months or more and not 6 weeks.
