Here’s how it works - The FreezeAlarm (with temperature sensor inside the unit)will automatically call one telephone number when the temperature drops below 45°F (7°C) and play a factory recorded alarm message. The unit can call any number you choose such as a cell phone, voicemail, or answering machine. It will continuously call every 15 minutes or 2 hours (your preference) until you acknowledge the alarm by calling back. When the FreezeAlarm answers, you’ll hear a message play. When you hear the message, the unit will then stop calling you because it now knows you have acknowledged the alarm. If the temperature in the monitored location rises above 45°F (7°C) again, the alarm will reset and be ready to call you should the temperature drop in the future. (The number of rings the unit answers on is controlled by a switch setting in the device that is selected by the user during set-up.)
