The Secure Wireless Receiver allows for virtually any Ademco Vista security system (Except Vista 128) to have remote control capability easily and affordably. The number of usable zones is dependant on the compatibility of the panel that is connected to. The number of wireless devices depends on the panel that it is connected to. For example: a Vista 15P can only handle 26 wireless zones, so this receiver will only support those zones. *Not compatible with Ademco wireless devices. For use with secure wireless recommended devices only.*

Michael on 4/28/2008, said: I just installed with my first security system (Ademco VISTA 20SE). It was easier to install than I expected. Just attach the four wires to keypad terminals, enable wireless, and start enrolling. I haven't tested the range extensively, but I've had no problems anywhere in my home. I gave it a four overall because the plastic is a little flimsy, but that won't really be a problem once it is mounted and not moved around. Edward Stone on 7/3/2007, said: I’ve added the Secure Wireless receiver to my Ademco Vista 20P panel with great results. I have the Ademco 5881L receiver and the EV-REC3-ADM receiver connected to my panel. I found the secure wireless transmitters are much more superior then the Ademco transmitters. I tested Ademco and Secure Wireless side by side and I’m getting about 200 feet more range with the Secure Wireless devices. Now for the negative aspect? Ademco has more wireless products then Secure Wireless and it would be nice if the EV-REC3-ADM receiver could accept 5800 wireless devices. Just a thought.
