DVCCMNV817 - Bullet Camera with 30 IR Leds

The DVCCMNV817 - Bullet Camera with 30 IR Led’s is efficient and compact and makes for a great addition to any surveillance system. The camera casing is about the size of a soda can. The camera can see during the day or night as it produces both color and black and white images, depending on the time of day. The camera can even work in the water because of it special waterproof design.

The DVCCMNV817 - Bullet Camera has a range of about 40 feet (at night) to 90 feet (during the day). The camera’s 1/3 inch CCD image sensor is made by Sony, one of the most popular and respected brands in the surveillance business.

The Bullet Camera’s casing and overall design is made by Atrix, Inc. The camera has 480 TV lines of resolution and has a 3.6 millimeter fixed lens built in for wide angle viewing, which is wider that the average camera. Here’s what one consumer had to say.

For instance, you couldn't see a license plate on a car, from a camera mounted 25 feet away. Getting a detailed face, they have to be within 15 feet. Good for monitoring the approaches to your house, day or night.”

This camera is simple to install and to operate. Plus it can plug into any DVR recorder that uses a BNC connector. It can also be viewed on most TV’s with an AV input.

I rated the features lower because the mount is a little on the cheap side and is prone to very early rust. I had to spray the mounting hardware to slow the rust. Also the camera has it's wire exposed which can be an issue. My opinion is spend a few more dollars and get the DVCCMNV603W. It has a much better mount with no exposed wires and so far no rust. The camera looks great and gives sharp picture. Before I buy from this site, I got two cameras from ebay but they are junk, I will never buy cameras from ebay again, I waited almost three weeks for the cameras and they both sent from Hong Knog, the price was cheap, but the cameras were junk. The tech support from Home security store is great, he showed me the steps in setting us this cameras, easy to hook up, and nice quality. I am going to buy four more now for my neighbour.
