The DVCCMNV817 - Bullet Camera with 30 IR Led’s is efficient and compact and makes for a great addition to any surveillance system. The camera casing is about the size of a soda can. The camera can see during the day or night as it produces both color and black and white images, depending on the time of day. The camera can even work in the water because of it special waterproof design.

The DVCCMNV817 - Bullet Camera has a range of about 40 feet (at night) to 90 feet (during the day). The camera’s 1/3 inch CCD image sensor is made by Sony, one of the most popular and respected brands in the surveillance business.

The Bullet Camera’s casing and overall design is made by Atrix, Inc. The camera has 480 TV lines of resolution and has a 3.6 millimeter fixed lens built in for wide angle viewing, which is wider that the average camera. Here’s what one consumer had to say.

“This is a good, basic camera for the price. Night vision is neat. The Built in bracket is convenient. The 3.6 mm lens means that you have a wide-angle view, but short range detail. For instance, you couldn't see a license plate on a car, from a camera mounted 25 feet away. Getting a detailed face, they have to be within 15 feet. Good for monitoring the approaches to your house, day or night.”

This camera is simple to install and to operate. Plus it can plug into any DVR recorder that uses a BNC connector. It can also be viewed on most TV’s with an AV input.

The camera comes with a sturdy bracket which can be mounted on the ceiling or wall. The housing of the camera is well made with aluminum alloy for excellent construction.

The DVCCMNV817 – Bullet Camera is also energy efficient, utilizing a low current draw of 500 milliamps. The unit runs on a power supply of 12 volt DC.

Just got my new camera in today and it has an amazing quality picture both day and night. I will be buying some more as soon as these bad boys are back in stock. I have a large yard and the wide angle is awesome.

I bought 4 of these cams for my new Atrix Pentaplex 16CH H.264 DVR and Im completely satisfied with their great resolution and wide angle lens. Keeping in mind that these cams are not really designed for close-up detail at a distance, like a license plate, they are perfect for my particular application where Im more interested in the wide field of view* The impressive night illumination from the 30 led IR's, even in areas where I have total darkness, offer sufficient light to at least see what's going on in that area. The only thing that was a little intimidating is the thickness of the cables used (BNC cable with adjoining power cable) and I had a little difficulty trying to run 4 of these thick, heavy cables bundled together through tight spaces -but it was well worth it in the end! *Note, I discovered that when recording at full resolution capacity of the DVR, when I download the video and open it in a video editing program where I can zoom in, I can clearly see a license plate on a car parked over 80ft from the camera..
