The Bravo 300 motion detectors feature patented Multi-Level Signal Processing (MLSP) for accurate detection of human IR energy over a broad range of temperatures.

The Digital Bravo3P PIR detector is specifically designed to provide optimum catch performance and enhanced false alarm prevention in environments containing pets. It utilizes digital technology, a microprocessor, Multi Level Signal Processing (MLSP)*, dual operating parameters, automatic temperature compensation and a unique pet rejection lens to provide effective and reliable detection of human motion and good protection against nuisance alarm associated with pets weighing up to 60lbs (27.3kg). The detector also provides excellent immunity to such false alarm producing influences as RF, static and electrical transient. This technology, plus exceptional design care and careful factory testing, ensure years of trouble free performance.

  • Exceptional catch performance at elevated temperatures
  • Sensitivity adjustment to configure the detector for normal or hostile environments
  • High-level static and transient protection

I use these for monitoring rodent circadian rhythms in a lab (probably not the typical application!), and they work great!

This device has worked OK for me with an occasional false alarm in one house and not the other. I have it mounted in a way that it looks up the stairs as well as towards the outside door. Because of the mounting in the cellar I think a mouse had walked in front of the device, actually blocking the sensor as it walked on the 3 inch ledge in front of the sensor. Since I started using DCON there have been no false alarms. If you really want no false alarms, go to a dual technology sensor, but you will lose sensitivity.

I have two of these they are slow to detect and inconsistant in the amount of time they react. I would choose a dual technology type instead.
