These work well, even with a notable gap. On the bench it passed every distance from touching to a bit over an inch. The narrow size was helpful in installing into a steel door and I cannot imagine the stubby fit ever coming out. Why not five stars? It's much more difficult to fish through the small hole and you'll need to be very good at bundling up your EOL resistors and chicklets to get it to pass through the stubby hole. Because of this, my recommendation for DIY market is the BR1021, as fishing and using nearly all installation tools are easier with a 3/4" diameter.
