Slim, light weight and stylish, the DVR290 - Hidden Camera Glasses w/ Built-in DVR is an advancement in spy camera technology and fits both professional and public atmospheres.

They are extremely covert. People rarely suspect hidden cameras, especially spy cams that house a built-in DVR and an 8 GB flash memory. There are two modes for recording: Continuous Video and Snap Shot. Video files can record for up to 90 minutes straight and snapshots can be taken at will, until the 8 GB flash memory is full. And all control of the 1080x720 resolution camera is handled by a miniature button next to the right frame.

A lithium battery is also built-in and it lasts roughly 90 minutes on a full charge. These are perfect for body worn and covert surveillance. The color of the video is clean and crisp and in all these are one of the highest quality spy cameras currently available.

I bought a pair of these glasses, and agree with the previous review in that you need lots of light and a basically immobile neck to get good video quality. The 8G internal storage holds about 1.5 hrs of recording, and the battery charge lasts about that long. They look exactly like ordinary reading glasses, with thick earpieces like on high-end frames. The pinhole camera is very hard to see - you need to know what these are to recognize them - and the controls on the right earpiece are pretty subtle also; one multi-function button and a micro usb port on the underside, and a couple of green and blue pinhole LEDs on the inside face. The downside is that, beyond the slowly flashing green lights at start-up, there's no indication that the device is recording. And when the battery runs out, it just powers down (the lights are supposed to flash a few times just before it shuts off, but you can't see them when the glasses are being worn). The .avi video files play back with a media player like vlc, and these glasses also function as a camera and an external storage device, so it's a user-friendly device overall.

Good product. You need good lighting to get a good picture. A room with just a lamp on and the camera will struggle. Don't expect much detail in things that are more than 6 feet away. Hold your head still for the best picture. It's good for capturing the 'big picture' of what's happening, but don't expect to get too many quality screenshots. And it doesn't record audio. On the plus side, they look good and are easy to operate and to upload vids.
