The Evolve LOM-15 Duplex Wall Outlet is the freshest technology in Z-Wave connectivity between appliances and your home alarm system. It allows you to control lamps and other appliances directly through a new age alarm system wirelessly (if they support Z-Wave technology), meaning you'll never to flick, press or twist on/off an appliance ever again.
With today's technology, many alarm systems allow you to control your alarm system via internet and/or smart phone so with this smart receptacle outlet, you can turn on appliances while being away from home. Scheduling also gives you the comfort of leaving lights on while you sleep- a great tactic in avoiding burglary.
How Does It Work?
First, replace one of your current electrical wall outlets with the LOM-15. A few simple changes in wiring and you're good to go. Inclusion of this Receptacle allows remote ON/OFF control of loads connected to the controlled outlet. The other outlet remains powered all the time. Then, plug a lamp or appliance into the new Z-Wave outlet. The Outlet will wirelessly connect with many compatible alarm systems (some programming may be involved) and that's it. Now you're ready to take complete control of your automated home.
This LOM-15 Duplex Receptacle is designed to work with other Evolve enabled devices. Evolve nodes of other types can be included in the system and will also act as repeaters. As part of a Evolve network, the LOM-15 will also act as a wireless repeater to insure that commands intended for another device in the network are received. This is useful when the device would otherwise be out of the radio range of the wireless controller.
