Robert on 1/3/2007, said: This flood alarm does exactly what it says. I bought after a basement washing machine hose came off and flooded the basement last year. This product has done a stupendous job of letting us know of any problems. It will not make the problem go away but is a great warning device. The only requirement is that the device must come in contact with the water. The alarm won't go off unless the sensor gets wet so positioning of the water sensor is important.
