While the unit looks to be well engineered, mine happens to have the problem that the button 6 doesn't work (real problem when you wanna dial phone number with six!). Because I live in another country it wasn't worthwhile to return the product and wait for repair. Opening up the back I was able to see that a small diode was never soldered into where the pushbutton for 6 was. I was able to fix but soldering my own pushbutton into place. The programming isn't particularly intuitive though you can probably get it after sitting down with it for 2 hours. It's hard to make a two lines display behave intuitively. My last issue may be an install/user one. I have yet to get this thing to work correctly. I have a relay tied to my Ademco Vista system that sends a 12V signal to this unit. It only seems to dial out once the alarm is shut off - indicating to me that it work when the voltage goes low. I may have the voltages switched (tried continuous and momentary configurations) - so again, that may be a fixable issue.
