I have had two of these in my house for the past three years, they work great and I tested with an old window my neighbor was throwing away. Hit the window with a hammer and it detected it from about 30 feet away. The only problem we have had is our son has started playing the drums and if the alarm is set and he plays, the pounding of the durms set off the sensor - easy fix, we moved the drums into a different room.

I tried the rock-bottle-box test as well, and it worked! I installed 3 in my house.
