Introducing the SC-1001

This kit comes with a complete wireless security system that can be installed in minutes. With the motion sensor and two door/window sensors, the system covers enough for a decent size house and with all the additional accessories and sensors, the SC-1001 is suitable for Homes, Business Offices, 24-hour stores, Retail Operations, etc., or wherever security is a concern. The emergency dialer AD-105 is your own monitoring center without any monthly charges. You do not need to sign up for additional monitoring service and therefore save the monthly monitoring fee.

The Control Panel can control up to 30 different sensors, these sensors include door/window sensor, motion sensor, flood sensor, smoke sensor, temperature sensor, etc. If any of these sensors are triggered when the system is armed, the siren will sound and it will send a wireless signal to the dialer that will call for help at the same time.

You can program the emergency dialer to call up to 9 different phone numbers including your own cellular phone, pager, your doctor, relatives, friends, neighbors, etc. Once the recipient picks up the phone, the emergency dialer will play your pre-recorded message and inform the recipient that you are in an emergency situation and to send help right away.

Features

  • Very easy to install
  • Plug & Play and Rolling Code Technology
  • Automatically calls for help in the event of an emergency
  • Dials up to 9 different numbers of your choice and sends out your personal 40 second message
  • Eliminates the need for expensive monitoring, saving you the monthly monitoring costs
  • Advanced Technology reduces false alarms

I have had this system for 8 years. Will last about 2 years before control pad or dialer needs to be replaced. The smoke alarm sensor does not work. I tried it with several different type of smoke detectors. For $150 even if you have to replace it every couple of years, it is still way cheaper than paying $39 a month for monitoring fees.

I purchased this system for my home 2 years ago So far it works great and was easy to install. I like the fact that you can build on this system. Good buy for the money.

Installed it last night in three hours. Had an additional three sirens, four door sensors, vibration unit, key fob, and panic button. Cleared all of the zones out and installed all of the devices into the zones I wanted. This was my second wireless system, although the first was some years ago. This system was very easy to program and the panel picked up all of the sensors, key fobs, and panic button. Installing the sensors were easy as well as the external sirens. I was worried as one of the door sensors and sirens were being installed in a building about 60 ft from the main panel with a building in between. However, the panel is receiving the door sensor just fine. I'm really happy with the system so far and will do some more testing today. The only thing that I don't like about it is the A, B, and C buttons instead of them reading Away, Stay, Off. It's not hard for me, but the wife and children seem to have a problem with remembering which combination does what. That's a little thing though with all of the benefits that the system does provide. I'm very happy with the system and with the Home Security Store. Good work and thanks.

I did research on a lot of wireless home alarm systems, and looked at features, expandability, simplicity, and cost. Considering cost and an emergency dialer were key, I chose the SkyLink SC-1001. The basic system comes with an emergency dialer, keychain remote, motion detector, and 2 window/door detectors at a good price. What sold me was the very reasonable cost of the additional add-ons I needed. I also bought vibration detectors for other windows, more motion detectors, and two sirens. I installed the system without having to call technical support because I did a Simon security system previously and understood the general concept of operations, installation and programming. I actually like this system better. It is well designed, a lot less expensive, and instructions are not too bad. What was a great help with installation was the on-line installation video on Skylink's internet site. It is very good and answered all the sticky questions. Both Skylink and the manual state that the Model AD-105 Emergency Phone Dialer that comes with the system will not work with Cable TV phone service, and they state you need a regular phone line. Yes it will work! I had Cable TV installed with internet service and phone service all in one package (Comcast Xfinity Cable in Virginia). I bought a phone jack splitter and plugged it into the cable box, and plugged both my wireless phone and the Skylink Dialer into the system. The Dialer successfully called both my Cell Phone and my Office. This is a very well thought out and designed system, and I highly recommend the Skylink for a simple, basic home security system without thrills. It does work, and it's loud! I just wish they had a DC Battery siren for outdoors rather than an AC plug-in. That is a shortcoming -- not too many outlets outside the house where people can't get to them.

I own and love this system. Its easy to install has alot of options and I love the fact that the dialer can be hidden away from the main panel. The only down side is that the unit will only work with self monitoring. The unit also works well with our voip ooma system. We have upgraded the system with extra key pads and shock window sensors!
