Ideally I could have used a smaller contact with a pigtail, but I opted for a non-pigtail contact since my house came prewired. These contacts were fairly easy to work with -- strip the wire, screw it down to the pos/neg posts. The cap can be pretty lose, but I affixed it to the window frame with some silicon gel which kept the cap on tight as well.
