The 131-04 Laser Scan Laser Scanner Burglar Deterrent for use with Security System is a moving red laser beam which was made to scare away potential intruders. This device works great for residential homes and business such as restaurants, offices, and more. Once the device is setup properly, beams are projected and move along the floor and walls. This is a very intimidating look in the dark.
This deterrent sends two moving red laser beams in constant motion, which looks like something similar to what you would see in a secured museum.
The unit is well made and is basically a box with a gear system featuring two laser pointers attached. There's a keyhole slot in the back for wall mounting, and a 1/4-20 threaded hole in the bottom to attach to standard camera mounts or bolt to your alarm panel. This Laser Scan kit includes a 12 volt AC adapter for extremely easy installation.
Note: The 131-04 does not include a 12 volt AC adapter.
To use Laserscan 131-04 with your security system, it must be wired directly into the output of the 12v security panel. It would be best to contact the manufacturer of the security panel to make sure it is done properly. Some security panels may need to programmed for this option.
