The LW2912 Lorex LIVE Wireless Video Monitoring System is one of the easiest ways to monitor your property both at home and from afar. It's part of the LW2910 Series, which Lorex Technology and Home Security Store proudly offer.

With this system you can record video and audio, have remote viewing, conduct 2-way talking, and set forth motion activated recording. The setup is simple and you can have the system up and running within minutes of opening the box. The LW2912 kit is made up of 2 indoor/outdoor cameras (expandable up to 4 cameras) and one 9 inch LCD monitor. The LCD is a bigger and better monitor than previous generations. Plus, what makes this system really new and improved is the remote viewing. Here's how it works - the Lorex monitor connects to your internet ready computer through USB (cable included). Your computer in turn sends a wireless signal to your compatible iPhone (3.0 or better), iPad, or iPod (3rd generation iPod touch or better) via Skype Mobile.

This system records video through the LCD monitor with an SD card (4GB SD card included. Up to 16GB). The system has a 2-way talking feature in which you communicate via from the camera to the monitor and vice-versa.

Disclaimers:

• 1. Cameras require a local power outlet.
• 2. Local viewing up to 4 cameras simultaneously. Local recording and playback of one camera at a time.
• 3. Five preloaded scenery images enable digital picture frame simulation when no motion is detected by the camera. When motion is detected, image changes to the camera detecting motion. No ability to upload your own pictures.
• 4. Stated IR Illumination range is based on ideal conditions. Actual range and image clarity depends on installation location, viewing area and light reflection/absorption level of object.
• 5. Weather resistant. Not intended for direct exposure to rain or snow. For outdoor applications install under shelter protected from the elements.
• 6. Based on line of sight. Actual range will vary depending on obstructions.
• * Remote connection requires driver installation on home PC (CD included), a wired USB connection between the monitor and PC (USB cable included) and a high speed internet connection. PC must be turned ON and Skype(TM) application must be running. Remote viewing is limited to a single camera and is not selectable remotely.

Also poor support from Lorex company. Every time I contact them about a problem they tell me to FAX a receipt and explain the problem even after explaining to them whats wrong and getting a repair number. For installation, I used step ladders to decide upon final positioning of, then installed the cameras. I chose the highest quality for video capture, but even then I had to be right in front of the camera for good recognition. One camera does not have any audio, and Lorex has yet to respond to my e-mail. The manual is well written, but some setups need patience. The daytime video is good color, and the nighttime is good B/W. Later, I intend to add more cameras. All the parts were included, also there was a quick start guide that was very clear and helped me set up the cameras. Everything seems to be working fine so far. It was very easy to set up.
