I wanted to add some new zones to my alarm and ADT wanted a fortune for these things, so I found this one that is the same model that ADT uses. The ADT technician warned me that sometimes ADT uses special sensors that only work with ADT systems and other sensors might not work, but I asked him to try this one anyway. It works great! I have the ADT SafeWatch 3000 system.

Good wireless range on the 5816WMWH. I have a shade in my backyard 500 feet from the house. No problems. Thanks Home Security Store

Had to buy one last year because it fell off the door frame and would not work afterward. Had to fake out the setup as the tech from ADT had erased the setup password. Installed easily. Fortunately I salvaged the books from the trash and could perform the setup. Worked great and is still working.

This is the exact same that ADT installed on my patio windows and doors. Works great. I'm here today looking for another magnet since the sticky stuff they attached the magnet to the windows with didn't hold well. But that's not the unit's fault.

Great transmitter. Great range. Setup is a breeze, and the secondary zone terminals allow for wiring the basic window shock(break) sensor and setting it up as a separate zone on the panel. I installed one of these coupled with a shock sensor on all of my windows.
