Manipulating the lighting in your home doesn't come easier than with the SK3 - SkylinkHome Lighting Lighting Family Kit5. Featuring (2) 10-Button Remotes, (1) Plug-In Dimmer, (1) Wall Dimmer, and even (1) screw-in Dimmer light-bulb, this is the perfect kit for the customer who wants multiple people in the home to control the lighting.

Having a system like the SK5 installed in your home is a great way to conserve energy and save money.  It is said that by dimming your light to 50% level, it is possible to save as much as 40% of electricity, inevitably resulting in a lower electric bill! Luckily, the SK5 comes with a Dimmer light-bulb that can be screwed into virtually any lamp or light fixture.

No difficult installation is required of this unit. You simply plug your lamp or light fixture into the Plug-In Dimmer, which in turn plugs into a normal outlet in your house.  Instantly you'll be able to control your light using either of your 10-Button remotes, which have an operating range of about 500 feet, which means you can use it from virtually anywhere in your house, including the outside for those who work late hours and don't want to come home to a pitch black home.

Conveniently, those not wishing to be wholly dependent on their remotes can just use the included Wall Dimmer.  The Wall Dimmer requires just a simple two wire installation.

Features:

  • Push a button on the remote to control.
  • ON/OFF/Dimming* function.
  • Works with Incandescent and CFL bulbs, up to 300W load in model PL-318 and WR-001, 60W in model LX-318
  • Multiple remotes for different locations/different family members.
  • Create zones with multiple lights, achieve zone on/off/dimming.
  • Wireless remote control range is up to 500 feet in open area.
  • Easy to install.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. Can I use SkylinkHome dimmer to dim Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL)?
A. Yes, you can. Any of SkylinkHome dimmers is designed to be compatible with dimmable CFLs. The CFL itself must be dimmable, non-dimmable CFL can not be used with any dimmer. Some dimmable CFLs are not up to standards, for example, limited dimming range, flashing when dimmed low, etc., please select the good quality bulbs to use with dimmer.

Q. Is there any minimum load requirement for your dimmer?
A. A minimum load of 7W is required for the proper function of wall mount two-wire dimmer. Other dimmers have no minimum load requirement.

Q. Does one button on a remote only control one light?
A. No, it can control any number of lights assigned to it.

Q. Can I control the lights in a room all at once?
A. Sure, you can assign all the lights to one zone on a remote and control them all at once.

Q. How can I control the individual light separately?
A. Buy each light a dimmer or a switch. Use one button for one light on your remote.

Q. How can I add a 3-way switch?
A. Just attach a wall remote on the wall and assign it to a switch or dimmer, it becomes a 3-way switch or dimmer. No wiring is needed.

Q. Do I have to rewire to install a wall switch?
A. No. The Skylink wall switch or dimmer has two-wire design for retrofitting. Simply replace your old switch with the new one and the installation is done.

Q. I do not want to do any installation. Can I still dim a light?
A. Yes. You can use SkylinkHome Plug-in or Screw-in dimmer, which requires no installation.

Q. Does dimming help to save energy consumption?
A. Absolutely, for example, if you dim your light to 50% level with a SkylinkHome dimmer, you save about 40% of electricity.

Q. I have a large house. Can SkylinkHome remote signal reach every corner of my home?
A. In open area, it can reach as far as 300 feet. Normally the remote signal can reach every corner in your home. If dead zone happens, add a SkylinkHome repeater somewhere can eliminate the issue.

PLEASE NOTE:  SkyLinkHome products are not compatible with existing Skylink Brand security systems. The PR-318S, however, can function as a converter for certain SkylinkHome transmitters to operate the SC-100, SC-1000 and AM-100 Skylink Brand systems.
