Last time I visited my friend I nearly ran screaming from her yard when I heard the sound of a vicious dog! Turns out she had the Rex Plus installed because she had-had a couple break-ins. I had to get this right away because I can't imagine a robber being more afraid of anything!.

well i've read many mixed reviews on this product and i can honestly say that the dog sound is rather weak. the dog bark doesn't have enough "umph" to sound real nor does it have enough variation in it's bark pattern. the detection at my place is through plaster walls / large windows .. i positioned it a few feet from the from wall next to the front door and it senses when someone is RIGHT at the door but not away from it. i may try the rex plus ii ed55 and see how it sounds. this product could be improved by recording a real vicious dog for an hour with a high quality microphone and using that recording to bark with the sensor. I would also add a better speaker with more watts to give it some "umph" on the low end.

I have had my Rex for approximately 5-years and still works great. Not even a cat can up my porch and he starts barking like crazy. I've had several A/C techs and carpet cleaner guys ask very seriously if we will take care of the dog before they come in... and of course I tell them not to worry. You can't go wrong. We are getting a new one for our Mancave (where grandson is staying at now). Worth every penny and peace of mind.

Very disapointed in product. Does not detect any movement through our steel front and back doors. If we set detector right on top of side window of front door, it will detect movement that is inches from window, not 15 to 30 feet. Does not detect movement a few feet away through our double pane windows either. We have tried placing detector in every position possible in our house. Just does not detect movement through walls or windows. Only detects movement that is in the same room as detector. That is too late for what we had hoped. The thief would already be in our house. If we could set it to bark constantly when we leave the house it might deture a thief. But as is, the thief has to be in the house before the dog starts barking.

great product works great and you cant tell from a real verocious dog from this product. Evryone should have one of this to protect the house. Even if you touch the outside door lock it begins barking!

These things are awesome. You can use them for many different things. Lake cabins, sheds, garages, etc. I even use one to alert me when raccoons, skunks, or deer are in my yard so I can watch them. I'm tempted to put one in my car to freak out prowlers that keep hitting my car. The only thing is that they are very sensitive (even penetrates brick), which is good, except they trigger easily from behind. One of my all time favorite inventions.
