The MCT-320 is meant primarily for protecting doors and windows. The MCT-320 uses a built-in magnet that works in conjunction with a magnetic contact to detect precisely when a door or window are being opened/closed. The MCT-320 is ideal for both your home or business, while its very small size is convenient both because it is virtually invisible and easy to install.

The MCT-320 also features a unique anti-collision algorithm that prevents what is known as "signal jamming" by the simultaneous transmission of multiple devices. The MCT-320 is able to transmit periodic "supervision signals" to confirm that your system is connected at all times.

Ditto on chewing up the housing. If I need to replace a battery, no plastic will be left!!

I had the same problem with the housing being shut so tight that it would not open like the instructions say it will without mangling the plastic housing. Very frustrating!

I bought one of these to see how it worked. It is definately smaller and nicer to look at, but in the long term I chewed up the housing just getting the cover open a few times to do some configuration work and mount it. The range is also not as great with a much smaller antenna, which is not a surprise. If you are looking long term I would go with the full size sensor as it is much easier to get into once mounted. I don't see this sensor being a long term item as you shred up the housing trying to get it open every few years and particularly if it is mounted in a hard to reach spot.
