Concord is a full-featured, hardwire hybrid security system that uses advanced technology for burglary and fire detection, making Concord a dependable security system that is both easy to install and simple to use. Concord’s modular design provides outstanding system flexibility to meet the needs of virtually any customer. With 2 partitions and up to 76 zones, Concord can handle big or small residential and commercial security needs.

The panel comes standard with eight hardwire zone inputs, of which one can be set up as a 2-wire smoke detector loop that can handle up to 10 detectors. Two built-in output points can be set up to activate external devices during an alarm or other system event. SnapCards™ add to the system’s zone input and output point capabilities. Each card (one per panel) connects easily to the panel circuit board inside the cabinet for a clutter- free installation

Expand Concord’s capabilities by adding optional SuperBus™ Hardwire Input Modules for eight additional zones per module, or optional SuperBus Hardwire Output Modules to add four more output points. For instant compatibility with GE's complete line of patented wireless Learn Mode™ sensors and touchpads

Expand the system even further with a Phone Interface/Voice Module for on- and off-site system control using touch-tone phones, and a speaker output for on-site voice status and alarm messages. Digitized voice messages over phones and speakers inform users of the current status, reassuring them the system is operating correctly. The Power Line Carrier card adds X-10 light control and Supervised Wireless Siren operation. A new menu-driven programming interface with shortcut menu numbers guides installers quickly and easily with access via alphanumeric touchpads to all configurable settings.

I have purchased six of these units over the past two years. The first one was a breeze to install, but a little harder to program. However, after a little help from tech support, I was up and running in no time. Each one after that is easier to install. There are several different features and options with the alarm system, depending on the end user's needs. I see that this alarm is used by a major alarm installer in our area. I was able to save approximately 60 % by doing it myself.

Surprisingly easy to install for such a powerful and flexible system. The installation manual isn't great, but installation is definitely simpler than it seems at first.
