This passive infrared motion detector is meant for use with the 2GIG Alarm System and is a wall-mounted unit with wide angle motion protection. When set to High Sensitivity Mode, the PIR has a maximum range of 30 ft. deep X 50 ft. wide. The PIR is pet immune up to 55 lbs.

I purchased this to add on to my 2-gig system. Does not sence movement very well. I tried many options and failed. I contacted the company behind the 2-gig system. They are sending me a new and improved sensor. Its nice to know you have them to back you up

I have installed many wireless security systems and motion detectors and this by far is the worst Motion detector that I have ever installed. Here is a list of problems that I encountered: Cause low battery trouble after it has been installed for a few hours even after installing new batteries. Stops communicating with the Panel. Simply does not pick up motion / persons even after the 3 minute sleep period. you can put it into test mode and set the panel to chime and you will see that it simply does not pick up motion 3/4 of the time even the test light does not illuminate most of the time. poor construction. Even the mounting system is horrible. Myself and my installers spend more time installing and troubleshooting this motion than installing the whole system. will never use again.
