Visonic Installation Instructions Section 3.4: "The Siren is ready to operate 30 seconds after the enrolling" Now here is what they DON'T tell you: The Siren operates 30 seconds AFTER every alarm without any means of modifying as far as I can see... My wife and I have hearing loss and could not hear the piezo alarm relegating the entire alarm system useless unless we were up and awake. I purchased this to overcome the problem only to discover the alarm has a 30 second delay. Well, by then we are either dead or at the mercy of the intruder who will simply tell us to please turn off the alarm... at gunpoint completely nullifying the reason for the alarm system in the first place. $129 + SH... in the trash. I have worked in electronics for 50 years and have seen many wondrous imbecilic things but this one takes the cake and... the icing. It's so dirt stupid it has to be on purpose. This device will only provide the ILLUSION of security. One wonders if the Israelis would put this 30 second delay in their missile defense systems? I'll let the reader decide. Bought two. Works great. Chirps when arming away using keyfob are very nice. Recommended.

This one has the same flaw the original red indoor version had: You cannot buy and replace the battery...therefor, when the battery goes, you will get a constant "trouble" signal to your head unit constantly which is very annoying. Personally i dont care about the battery as I could just hook it up to a UPS, but I have yet to figure out how to get the trouble signal to stop.

This is bigger than I thought it would be. I bought it to go inside because I wanted loud. It is pretty loud but volume is attenuated because the speaker emits form the back which seem really dumb. I placed it in a cabinet behind the TV with the back exposed so the the volume is at full strength. I was hoping for more of a Whooop Whooop sound but this one sounds like a bunch of angry birds. It's OK and does what is supposed to do.

Doesn't work with Powermax+ despite the instructions saying it should.

    Security Advisor Comment
When enrolling to the PowerMax+, the internal jumper must be set to the "PM+" position. Important Note: The siren is ready to operate 30 seconds after the enrolling. Pre-enrolled sirens are ready to operate 30 seconds after power up. The alarm system must recognize the siren's unique identification code for command delivery and supervision. To enroll the siren into the alarm system memory, refer to the ENROLLING section of the alarm system installation instructions, and momentarily press the Self-Test button

This unit is much larger than I expected but I was mounting it on the flat ceiling of a covered back porch so not an issue. Got one false alarm on the tamper but after adding additional screws have had none since. Extremely loud wear ear guards when testing if you are close bye. Neighbors called in my alarm after an attempted break in. Easy to hear the chirp for this unit's arm away and disarm away from the driveway or front of the house too. Light does not flash when armed on the current model to save battery life. Unit does not chirp when arming home which is nice as people might be asleep.
