Always know who is coming and going with the DCPT-2500!
The DCPT-2500 - Dakota Alert Duty Cycle Probe Alert Transmitter is used to detect vehicles ONLY either entering your driveway, or passing near the spot wherein you have positioned the Dakota Alert Probe. The unit is meant to be used with the DCR-2500 - Dakota Alert Duty Cycle Receiver, to which the transmitter sends a wireless alert signal once a vehicle is detected. Setting this unit apart from other driveway alarms, is that the wireless signal sent to the receiver can reach an impressive 1,500 feet! Moreover, false alarms set off by large animals or people will be wholly prevented, as the DCPT-2500 is programmed to solely detect metal.
The Probe itself can detect a vehicle if it approaches up to about 10 ft. away, and should be buried beside the driveway. Those with driveways that are two or more car widths wide will probably have to purchase two units in order to bury a probe on either side of the driveway.
The Dakota Alert DCPT-2500 uses eight AA batteries (not included).
