Countless people have woken up to find their vehicles missing, and while immediately filing a police report is the best thing you can do in this situation, there is nevertheless precious and valuable time that is inevitably wasted during that time, and which can hinder the chances of finding your car in tact, or if at all.

With the AUTO-CONTACT by GAR Security, you'll be notified immediately if your car falls victim to theft! The AUTO-CONTACT is a wireless device that is designed to work with any control panel and wireless receiver, so it can be easily integrated into your existing home alarm system with the simple purchase of a wireless transmitter. The AUTO-CONTACT comes in the shape of a mat/pad made entirely of durable EPDM material (ethylene propylene diene M-class rubber) that is resistant to ozone, oxidants and severe weather conditions, and is meant to be placed on your home's driveway where your vehicle must be parked directly on top of it. In the event your vehicle is stolen, the wireless transmitter within the AUTO-CONTACT (sold separately) will immediately activate the alarm inside your home and notify you of the event the second the vehicle is removed off the pad.

The AUTO-CONTACT can be used with all types of vehicles, including motorcycles, trailers, lawn mowers, boats, golf carts, etc.

Installation Instructions

Wireless Installation (Recommended)

Insert 1 wireless transmitter inside the hollowed bottom of the AUTO-CONTACT
Connect transmitter wires with the lead wires from the AUTO-CONTACT
Seal compartment with Dottie Rubber Silicone
Place the AUTOCONTACT at the parking space of the vehicle to be protected
Mount the AUTOCONTACT on a flat concrete surface with four concrete screws
Program the AUTOCONTACT into the control panel

Hardwired Installation

Place the AUTO-CONTACT at the parking space of the vehicle to be protected
Secure the AUTO-CONTACT to a solid concrete surface with the hardwire provided
Run wire from the AUTO-CONTACT to the control panel
Program the AUTO-CONTACT into the control panel

PLEASE NOTE: Wireless Transmitter brand must be compatible with your alarm system's brand, ie. A Visonic alarm system will require you to use a Visonic brand transmitter with the AUTO-CONTACT in order for this unit to work. The same for DSC, Ademco, GE and other alarm systems.

The device came w/o the transmitter. I am at a loss as to how to hook up a transmitter and so far tech sppt has not been that helpful. For example, they showed me where the wires would hook up on the transmitter but there are only 2 leads and 4 wires! It also says to put the transmitter in the compartment, seal up the compartment and then program the transmitter. How can you trip the transmitter for programming when the transmiter is sealed up in a compartment. I am completely frustrated.

Sorry. We dont know what alarm system you have so Wireless transmittes are sold separately. Program the Transmitter first. Than put the transmitter into the compartment. We travel a lot and i love the fact that i can leave my car at home and know if its moved i will get a call in seconds.

I recently had a car stolen which had a GPS system installed in it and because of the auto contact my vehicle was recovered in less than thirty minutes and now i feel comfortable knowing my car is safe and i can sleep better at nights it's a great sytem im very satisied with it.

The Auto Contact is not only a great protective device for auto theft, but it is also a great preventive measure for unauthorized usage of your vehicle. As a mother of 2 teenagers, I have had occasional problems with my kids taking my car for joyrides without my knowledge or permission. The auto contact gives me instant notification when my car is rolled off of the mat thus lessening the chances of any criminal liability and damage to my vehicle. I rest better at night knowing my vehicle is protected from thieves and joyriding teens. A MUST HAVE! Sarah Phoenix, AZ
