Most Windows Sensors are hardwired and bulky, and require either costly professional installations or a frustrating trial-and-error process. Not so with DSC's Vanishing Wireless Door Window Sensor, as its wireless capabilities allow the unit to simply be mounted within your chosen door or window frame using the supplied double stick tape or screws, sending an entirely wireless signal to the your receiver when an intruder attempts to make an unannounced visit.

This is simply the thinnest window sensor on the market today and can be concealed easily within any window or door frame of any size, which means that intruders will not only be easily detected, but they'll never see it coming.

Greater Protection. Complete Security
How would you like to offer your customers a security system that provides complete security via a host of devices, including keypads, sirens, detectors and wireless keys, and also supports GSM and IP communications - all of it wirelessly? DSC's 2-Way Wireless Security Suite delivers just that…and so much more.

The Power of Speed with Wireless Installation
The Alexor Wireless Panel is the center component of DSC's 2-Way Wireless Security Suite. Because it operates completely wirelessly, installers have fewer holes to drill and fewer wires to pull. The system - with its full complement of exclusively compatible wireless accessories, detectors and keypads - takes far less time to install than traditional wired or hybrid systems. Less installation time means more installations completed throughout each day and ultimately more installation and monitoring revenue to the installer. Homeowners also benefit. Wireless installation means less waiting around and minimal compromise to the home structure.

Security Without Compromise
Alexor is a wireless control panel, the virtual "brain" of the security suite. Because it is a distributed system, the panel is not attached to the keypad physically, but rather wirelessly. Designed for flexible, secure installation locations within the home, as long as there is access to AC power, Alexor operates via up to four wire-free keypads (the WT5500). If the system changes its armed state or a wireless device is tampered with, Alexor will immediately be signaled and the appropriate transmission will instantly be transmitted to the monitoring station. And because the signals between Alexor Wireless Panel and its wireless peripherals are fully encrypted, communication between all devices is exceptionally secure. The Alexor offers all the reliability of traditional wired/hybrid control panels but with all the convenience that wireless delivers.

Additional Back-up Features via GSM/GPRS and IP Communication Streams
DSC has designed two back-up communicators specifically for Alexor. The TL265GS Internet and GSM/GPRS Dual-Path Alarm Communicator communicates via the IP or GSM/GPRS channels, and the GS2065 GSM/GPRS Wireless Alarm Communicator through the GSM/GPRS channel. Both provide additional back-up (to the traditional phone line communication) alarm communication methods. If the phone line is tampered with, Alexor will instantly switch over to one of the back-up communication streams for its alarm signals. These options are also ideal for homes that rely on either Voice Over IP (VoIP) or mobile phones for their home phone service. With a practically plug-in and play connection to the Alexor, the communicators conveniently utilize the existing Internet connection and/or the GPRS data channel of the GSM network (depending on which communicator is chosen) to ensure high speed, reliable and secure alarm communications. Wireless Device Enrollment & Template Programming Further Simplify Installation DSC's installation processes and programming help to further reduce the installer's time at each job. The wireless device enrollment process ensures that installers no longer need to manually program serial numbers or wireless attributes. Instead, a series of enrollment screens prompt installers to confirm Electronic Serial Numbers (ESN), zone numbers and zone type. Template programming allows installers to quickly program the functions required for basic operation by entering a 4-digit code. Code prompts exist for predefined zone definitions, reporting code formats, communication call directions, and DLS setup.

I bought this back in 2010 and am really happy with it. I have windows sensors, door sensors, flood sensor, motion detectors, smoke alarms, indoor siren, and outdoor siren and it all works great. So far the only batteries I've had to replace are the wall mount keypad. Install took some work, but as long as you really read over the directions you should be able to do it. The only thing I ended up needing tech support for was the external siren. I figured it would be easy but it ended up being difficult with all the additional components and wiring that was needed. I really like how this system allows you to give names to the sensors. It's a lot easier to figure out which battery needs replaced when the screen refers to something like 'living room west window' than some code jargon. Tech support here is fantastic.

I would have given this a 5 star review if I hadn't had a mysterious "RF Jam" light. After walking around my house and plugging the unit into various locations (without successfully finding a spot where the light went off) I just disabled it and everything else was a breeze. Automatic enrollment is so simple a caveman can do it (I have 14 slim contacts, a smoke detector, outdoor siren and 3 key FOBs). CAUTION: As stated in other reviews the installtion booklet is written for Professnals and covers much more than just this system. It will take you longer to understand it than to install the entire system.

I installed this at my grandmother's home 3 months ago. It is very simple to operate but very complex to install. Prepare to install on a weekday when you can call a tech for assistance. (west coast). The directions are way too complex- simplify it!

This kit came quickly and was packaged great. It seems like a quality unit in terms of build quality. I am not a professional installer but a DIY homeowner and thought I would tackle this project. Setting up the control panel and keypad were a piece of cake. Enrolling the wireless sensors worked flawlessly. I had some issues with the installation of the sensors because they were so thin, but eventually got them installed on two doors and working. The programming of options for the unit had a step learning curve, but by flipping pages to read and reread everything, I was able to successful get the system set up how I wanted it. The only concern I have about this unit is the noticeable delay between when a sensor is tripped and when the keypad chimes, ~1.5 seconds. It doesn't seem like a long time, but I can make it from the door well into the house before anyone would notice. This being my first system, I'm not sure how the timing compares to other wireless units.

I purchased and installed this alarm system in APR 2011. I found installation quite simple, even with the plunger-d hidden door sensors. I refused to have the surface mount contacts on the doors, and the plunger-d sensors really make it look professional (you can't even see them). The 2-way keyfob is perfect for nightstand when you want to check the status or arm it. I also installed a second keypad by the back door - too easy. It doesn't come with a power cord, but just buy 22 gauge phone wire and use it to wire the phone and power (thicker for a long power run over 10ft). The install was quick and simple. Alarm Relay (monitoring) had me up and running quickly and way cheaper than anyone else. Highly recommended. Would purchase another if needed.

I ordered this product three weeks ago, 11-29-10; installation was very simple, so long as you followed the direction to their entirety. To be honest, I am somewhat electronic challenged, but consider myself to be a good handy man. So I wanted to accomplish this task on my own first, with the back-up plan of calling my Office alarm company as a back-up for installation, however it was not necessary. I would strongly recommend this product with the Plunger-D Wireless door sensor as an add on, I purchased two, in addition to the three sensors that came with the kit, and wish I had purchased 3-nore for my remaining doors. This product too, was very easy to install, and very clean once in place. Mark. Skyd5in@yahoo.com
